I work hard - I get up everyday and send all my kids to school. I watch tv until they come home and in the meantime the government pays for everything for me. I am excited as income tax time is coming and I could use some dough for a new tv and to get my nails done again. thank you fellow tax payers for letting me live this way. i shall think of each and every one of you as i lay in bed tomorrow morning while you are all getting up for work. THANK YOU AND BLESS YOU.

AMEN TO THAT. THIS WORLD IS MESSED UP!!
Yes, this world is messed up. We were given free will and instead of using it for the good of man, we took it and ran with it. Used it and abused it. We are doomed.

Those people that they have out there ringing there bells are really annoying, you don't see me standing in grocery stores ringing a bell for money, maybe the people in this world should go out a get a job just like the rest of us working people, and what does the salvation army do with all the money, there are still plenty of homeless people on the streets,

SORT OF HELPS OUT? THAT GUY SHOULD GO ASK FOR HIS MONEY BACK. THAT IS JUST DOWNRIGHT F'N UNGRATEFUL.
CONSIDERING HOW THIS ECONOMY SUX RIGHT NOW - GAS PRICES, OIL PRICES, & JUST THE PRICES OF EVERYTHING LATELY THEY SHOULD SHUT UP AND TAKE WHAT THEY GET.
THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO TAKE A LONG HARD LOOK AROUND AND STOP HELPING PEOPLE THAT SIT AT HOME ALL DAY AND WANT EVERYTHING HANDED TO THEM. START HELPING HARD WORKING PEOPLE THAT GO TO WORK EVERYDAY INSTEAD OF HANDING OUT TO THE WELFARE TRASH ALL THE TIME. WHEN PEOPLE DONT HAVE TO WORK ALL YEAR - GET FREE OIL, FREE HOUSING, & FREE FOOD AND THEN ON TOP OF IT WALK AWAY WITH $8000-9000 IN INCOME TAX REFUNDS I THINK THERE IS A PROBLEM HERE.
First of all, lets keep in mind the remark was made by an 18 year old that was manning the bucket. The people that man these buckets are usually recipiants of Sal Vals help in one way or another. So we need to consider there may be an extreme lack of education and upbringing here. Also, As far as the huge tax refunds some people get. I agree. I worked with a girl that lied about her boyfriend / father of her child living with her. She got all the government freebies and worked as a waitress for tips too. After she claimed the minimum tips required by law she showed barely a poverty level income and was able to also file head of household. She got huge refunds, wore gold and leather coats and shopped all the best stores. Total ripoff artist.

Wasn't there an older guy with glasses and a flannel shirt who robbed a couple of banks? Maybe he's feeling sorry.

I agree. Sometimes I see items at thrift stores that were dollar store items and they're selling them for 3.00!!
And clothes that are almost as much as buying new at a discount store. And if they receive a donated 'new' item they jack the price up 5.00. Heaven forbid they should let someone needy buy a nice shirt for a cheap price.

shame on them.

<quoted text>I agree. Someone decided one day that charging less was somehow taking money away. It's a donation!! That means they get it for free!!! Your right about the people who go to get second hand stuff. They are usually very poor looking. I shop there myself once in awhile. If Jesus treated people that way he would not have lasted long enough to die for us ungrateful sinners. Salvation Army wake up and be grateful for what you receive.
