First of all....joisygirl and dgrinch.....you should be ashamed of yourselves.....Dave was not only a good man, but a great friend. Who do you think you are to make any of those comments. Apparently you both have lived sheltered lives and don't have a clue as to what life is all about. How dare you make comments like that about someone you never even met!! If you ever had, you would know that he lived his life the way we all should, doing what we love and having no regrets. Everyone that knew him would agree that the world was a better place with him here. R.I.P Moyer!!!

Well, at least he died and not in a coma. I hate to sound cruel, but I'm honest.
I much rather die, than be put on a life support machine. For what?
You're better off dead in this day in age.
At 37 he was probably still a kid and look at what happened to him.
I wonder if he was married and had children? Probably still living at home with mama and dadda.
NO he did not live with his parents!!!! What does that have to do with his death? Why are people the way they are today..in good or bad situations! He worked for a living and he was a caring man. So please think before you speak. Not only are you probably still living at home..your mom probably still breast feeds you!

Hey Joisy...thats a a pretty close minded idea...we bought our 2 kids 4 wheelers in elementary school and we had them too...men take them hunting, as we did on acres in Pike County, they're good for carrying back your kill....and if used properly...they're safe too.
Yeah but taht's not what this guy was doing.

You just got too old too fast. Too busy playing the grown up and criticizing others for having fun and enjoying life.
Keep living life by your text book rules. You'll probably live to be 100 and have enjoyed none of it.
Been there done that. I've been many places & done many things & I'm still enjoying life but I also never needed an ATV to do any of it. I won't get into the "having fun" thing in this region, I tend to speak my mind but I will only go so far.

Yeah ok tough guy. Whatever floats yer boat. 14 yrs ago a very good friend of mine was killed on an ATV when he hit a bridge abutment & went off the bridge into a creek hitting his head on rocks & killing him instantly. Does it mean no one should ride them? Absolutely not. I've also lost a child, so please don't preach to me from your prarie about life & what it's about & how precious it is. Let's not forget this man was also someone's CHILD. I will however still wonder why a grown man would want to zip around on a glorified scooter. All hail the holy ATVs. Happy now Cooter?

I do quite a few things for fun, but they don't involve a larger scale big wheel. What do you do for fun?

Seriously, who are you to judge what people like to do for fun? Just because it's not your cup of tea, don't criticize someone else's idea of fun.
It's a shame this accident happened, but unfortunately accidents happen in life.

I agree. But I really don't think people should ride them at any age. They're too dangerous.
Maybe we should also add motorcycles to that list also, maybe cars also. Air travel must be quite risky in your opinion too.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. However there is a time and place to express that. I am sure his family will be reading these posts one day and the things being said are not proper. RIP Dave you were a great person

I feel for your loss...I really do but then why can't you understand? You have to respond to everyone on here who says you are wrong. If it looks like a rat and smells like a rat it must be a rat. Take their advice....you are wrong on this one.
By the way, why are you on here so much? Is this what you do for fun? I would rather ride ATV's and be outdoors then at this computer all day. I'll post once because that is enough to get the point across....maybe not to you......but everyone else on here will get it.

My condolences to the family and friends of David Moyer. He lived his life as he wanted and I am sure he had no regrets. He will be missed. RIP
Now miss josiygirl. I find it sick for you to get your kicks off of posting crap you have no idea about. Maybe you should go see your therapist for your loss of your child. It is a shame for your loss but you seem to be hung on the fact that you hate to see people live their life as an adventure and because of your loss you want to make sure everyone else is as miserable as you are. Well GET OVER IT. A tragedy happened and that is the topic, period. No need to reply because what ever you might have to add is just not worth listening to since you just will get off on posting more stupid remarks. Again, try a therapist if you have not been to one lately, Have a nice day

What we choose to do with our lives is our business. You must really live a sheltered life. We are from what is considered "the country", even though it is a small town. That is how we were not only raised but live our lives. Maybe you should pack up and move back to whatever Big City you think you should be in. We are all a close knit family, and were raised to respect others. It appears to me you are just bitter over your own personal tragedies, and need to get a life!!!!!

One of Miss Joisy's beliefs is "REAL Fur"...isn't that considered hunting??? Glorified scooter? Why don't you get on your glorified broom and fly fly far away

No you're not. Sorry to inform you of this but this area is not "the country", it's no different than the town I used to live in.
