Johnny was my neighbor. He was a terrific kid. My daughter knew him and they played together since they were smaller. My daughter, his family, and everyone who knew and loved him is DEVASTATED.

When I first read these comments from hearless scum like CATLOVER and the likes, I was sick to my stomach and had to shut the page. I would now like to say to this COWARD that hides behind his/her computer screen spewing his/her hate to GET THE FUCKING FACTS STRAIGHT.

Johnny was 17 years old. He was NOT stupid, he was INEXPERIENCED. His death is a tradgedy and I only hope you never have to go through what his entire family is going through.

Loss of any life so young is a tragedy.

When people post mean-spirited comments on this thread, I don't think they've experienced any loss like that.

Or, they're sociopaths.

Krissa, you are very mean. I would not wish that on anyone. I have only two cats, named Kitten and Mitten, and I don't smell like kitty pee, or at least I hope I don't.
Even though you said (typed) mean things to me, I don't wish any bad things for you. Well, to be honest, I would like to see you maybe chip a nail or have a bad hair day, but that's about the worst I'd wish on you.
And "LET THEIR FAMILIES COME SCRAPE THEIR BODY OFF THE PAVEMENT" ISN'T MEAN? Get a clue. That makes you a HORRIBLE human being. RESPECT doesn't cost a thing. Show some and you will get some in return.

No the last thing this family needed was for their son to be dead. Imagine how they must feel and what they have to go thru because their son was selfish person to have to drive like an idiot. Kids today don't care who they let behind and the pain a grief that goes with it. An airlift to try and save their son should not be an issue. The funeral is the last thing they also needed.
Sorry to be so harsh, but I lost a sister to speed and alcohol, and she left my poor parents holding the bag so to speak. She was a selfish person and made my ma ma cry and my daddy sit a stare out the window. And for that I also lost my parents. Have a good day!!!!
Sorry for your loss. Mistakes are made by people of every age. Young people make more due to inexperience. Say a prayer for your family and have a better day.

Well that fixes everything! Just say sorry and move on.
Teens will continue to die on PA roads, how does this attitude help?

Unfortunately it won't save any lives. But being angry or innsensitive doesn't bring anyone back. Mistakes will be made. Lives will be lost. Accidentally or sometimes on purpose. The people that are left behind need time to grieve in their own way.
If your looking for answers on how to instill a sense of caution in others, there aren't any. Everything is relative. Telling a person that just lost one of the most important people in their life that "everything will be alright" has not meaning at all. Their perception of what "all right" will be different for the rest of their life.
Just like you, I came to say my piece. I did it without being rude or calling names like some others. I just said my piece. I will get through my losses. Hopefully this family will get through theirs. Neither one of us fixed anything today. Sorry I couldn't do more.

I believe that there is a time and place for everything. There is a guest book on the obituary page. People can leave sympathy messages there. That page is off limits to criticism and attacks.
Comments on news articles should be uncensored and free speech should not be limited. There are many comments that I don't agree with, but the only way to grow intellectually is to be challenged with different ideas. I want to know who people really are and what they think.

I created a new thread. I don't want to discuss this under this article any more.

It is not so nice too see "ANOTHER" Tamaqua Area youth passing away due to a motorvehicle accident. It is without no dought that this accident was his fault! This 18 yr old should have not been driving like an idiot to begin with! Now his family has to suffer a tremendous loss because of his stupid ill faited mistake.

What is wrong with those of you who are so critical of a young person that lost his life? Whether or not he was driving to fast, he still is gone. He was someone's child, brother, grandson, friend etc. He was loved and cared about and is missed.

How dare you judge someone else! Have you lived a perfect life? I hope that you or your family will never suffer a deep hurt. You should be ashamed of yourself!!!! You have added to their pain. What were thinking? Talk about being selfish!
