The crash was labeled an "accidental death" because it happened on private property? I what kind of death it would have been on public property????

Every day more and more people show they have no class. Do you really think Dave Moyer's family or friends really care HOW the newspaper chooses their wording for their articles.

every day people have no clues; this is a newspaper site, run by a multi-million dollar corp., not some mom and pop xmas card company, noelle.

My husband knew Dave for many years. I don't know if it was a heart attack or not, and I don't know what he weighed. I DO know he will be greatly missed by many. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family.

Well they should, especially since claiming the ATV was what killed him when it didn't, it borders on slanderous & a falsity. What family wouldn't care about misinformation in their loved one's death? Or are they too broken up about the ATV?

Listen JoisyGirl: If your going to act ignorant then don't comment. The family is devistated in the loss of their loved one and really don't care about the ATV. Noelle was just making a point on how the news paper wrot the article. So right now pray for the family and keep your rude remarks to yourself!

The headline doesn't say the man was killed BY an ATV, but rather that he was killed in an accident involving an ATV.

So if I'm hit by a car while holding a can of soda the headline would say I was killed in an accident involving a can of soda? Of course not. Being someone who has worked in the media, that headlined was written with the main idea & intent to insinuate and suggest the ATV played a role in the death. Now did it? Who knows, who cares, but this is what the headline projects.

Your example is moot. Using the flawed logic you are trying to advance, you could never be hit by a car since it is an inanimate object.

You obviously don't have a clue what the Darwin Award is. Just because you were a paper carrier doesn't mean that you worked in the media.

??? Sorry you lost me there. I was never a "paper carrier"-when did I ever say anything like that? Are you talking about paper carrier as in newspapers? The media on the other hand I have in fact worked for. Never delivered any papers but I have written for them.
