I posted this in the wrong place before. Can anyone tell me exactly where the Parker Grade School was located in the fifties?
Thanks,
Debbie

Debbie,
As I recall from some research in the past I've done, the Parker Grade school was located on N. Ludlow Ave, near the ravine.
The school property was on the east side of the street.

The grade school was on Ludlow St. It was on the right side of the street going north, before the ravine. Big two story brick bldg, One through sixth grade. Went to school there..

I am just curious about your interest in the school. You are from Annapolis MD. I live in Cambridge MD on the Eastern Shore and went to that school as a child. It is beautiful now and very nice for those living there.

Linda,
I went to school in the 1960's at the Parker Grade School...do I know you by chance? The grade school was on Ludlow street in the 1950's, my cousins went to it before it relocated to the top of the hill.

I also went to the Parker Grade School...late 40s - early fifties...it had a big tube fire escape that went the outside of the building...my dad was janitor so my brother and I spent many FUN summer days sliding down it...for any of you that attended at that time...you'll remember one of the teachers that got STUCK in the bend of it during a fire drill...MADE OUR DAY..aah memories.

I went to the Parker grade school in the 50's and 60's. It was a red brick building on Ludlow St. After it was torn down a house was built there. We used to go over after school to the play ground which consisted of a big swing set and a maypole. We used to crawl up the fire escape that was a big tube at the side of the building and would slide down. The old Parker HighSchool burned down and then a few years later The new elementary school was built there on top of the hill. Yes the elementary school is now a nursing home.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Libra

If you're invited to a party or gathering today and you don't know whether to go, you should. You'll have a terrific time and you might meet someone who always makes your knees go weak. Even if it's a perfectly harmless flirtation and you're both happily committed to other people, it will still do your ego good to have a tantalizing conversation with this person.
