Tried the new pub in town and was very disappointed in the management. We waited almost 2 hours to be seated while people sat at the tables drinking without ordering food during dinner rush. Management stated that they would not ask anyone to move to the bar area to clear a table for dinner. We finally were sat and tried the food-decent pub food, but def. NOT WORTH THE WAIT. Clearly, the mangement prefers it to be a drinking establishment versus a nice restaurant. Way to promote drunk drivers on the road in Foxboro!

Tried Waxy's on Thanksgiving day. Not only was it a disappointment, but I was highly insulted that they would give the Irish a reputation for the most disgusting experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Starting with the slow service, cold soup. Upon return it had been doused with a large quantity of salt (high maintenance chef?). No rolls.(Did our Irish families ever sit down with no rolls or bread?). A disgrace to our Heritage.

Why should the management ask someone to leave a table that they had first because you want to sit down. what makes you so important!

Theory of economics: People spend more on liquor than people eating. It appears that Waxy's is going to be the next major liquor problem. Based on price and service......I hope they close soon. But they still have their other locations in the U.S. and don't forget.... London and Dubai!!

Tried Waxy O'Connors and I wasn't impressed. Food was overpriced and mediocre. Just a booze bar. Lots of mid 20's kids poundin' them down. I'll take the Chieftan hands down

Went to Waxy's and won't be going back. The food was too salty and cold. The music was so loud, our server had to walk around the table and scream to us individually. At least two tables near us asked them to turn down the music and management refused. You shouldn't need earplugs to enjoy dinner. We couldn't even hear each other. If they want to be a bar, be a bar. Skip the meals and lose the kid's menu. This place isn't suitable for kids anyway.

BUYER BEWARE @ WAXY's...We have been to Waxy's three times; twice our credit card was charged more than what we authorized (one for $2 more and the other for $10 more!) Of course we saved our receipts and went back to the mgr for our $ back. The third time there was 3 additional drinks listed on our bill, in which the bartender appologized and removed...I don't think we'll be back there. Make sure you check your bill before cashing out and your statement if you use a credit card!!!!!

Love Waxy's...Just what Foxboro needs!...It's like the BBC but 10x better. The bands on Friday and Saturday are great and the atmosphere is perfect. Plenty of room and a great place to have a few drinks. If your over 40 than this isn't the place for you!

Not sure what all the bad talk is about. A group of us(7) went there after work on Monday and had a total blast. The people seemed to be enjoying themselves, and the staff was helpful and pleasant. Surely, there is room for improvement, but I will be back.

Well I see the new Pub in town is not getting a very good start. Try Casey O'Conor's in Mansfield. I'm a huge fan. Its right in the center of Mansfield so easy to find....next to Barrows Insurance Agency. Great Food, Excellent Atmosphere.....I meet friends there often for Friday Lunch or before 6 dinner and have never had to deal with kids drinking. Waxy's reminded me of a college watering hole. I don't think they get it. When the newness wears off, there has to be something there other than mediocre food and lots of attitude. Maybe it depends on when you go.

After reading the reviews, I think I just might try Casey O'Connors. I already enjoy the Chieftan. Who the heck is running Waxys? Don't they know it only takes 1 bad customer to put them under. And it sounds like lots are not satisfied. Guy probably isn't even Irish!

The karaoke host, Charlie Brewer is great. He has over 75,000 + up to date karaoke tracks and 35,000 Dj tracks. He also put a little dance music in between the singers to keep the show lively. Great Place!!

I've been reading some of the comments about the new bar Waxy O'Connor's in Foxboro for several weeks. I have been there numerous times and have always had a great meal and a wonderful time. I think it's exactly what Foxboro needed. I've been living and working in Foxboro for the past ten years. Funny, I haven't seen any Foxboro residents complaining about the place? As for all of you Chieftain and Casey O'Connor fans...I have a feeling that these places are feeling the pinch and you guys are all afraid that you might lose the dump that you drink in!!!

Just a note to the staff of Waxy O'Connor's. Myself and my wife just spent three weeks in Boston, THANK GOD we found your bar. We want to thank you for your excellent food and friendly service. What a great time we had at your bar! We really enjoyed your fabulous bands, it was great being able to have enough room to get up and dance!! We are highly recommending this to everyone at home. As we are in the bar trade ourselves and the wife is a shopaholic, she comes here with bus loads of her friends for the outlets, expect them in their droves!!! Again thanks for a great time and please god we will see you all in the summer.
