The Strohl family should be ashamed of themselves! Since they purchased this castle as their home, have gone out of their way to instruct neighbors to never comment on them or the castle in general should anyone ever ask. NO ONE has ever been welcome there, and suddenly for their own financial gain they want to throw open their doors and welcome the paying public! What about the neighbors who have lived here for years - enjoying their quiet street? For those who say it is a great idea - would you think so if your child had to dodge shuttle buses while playing on their own street? Would you say so if your driveway was blocked by a party goer? Come on, people, use some common sense here ...

I live very close to the castle and welcome the castle doors to be open to the public. This will be good for my neighborhood (more police patrols), good for Cary (additional revenue for the town) and improvement to the neighborhood.

A business like that does not belong on a residential street. It is not fair to the neighbors.

Why would the owners instruct neighbors never to comment about them or the castle?? What are they hiding ?? Why would you move into such an obviously unusual home-castle and then instruct neighbors never to comment on it? Sounds suspicious and odd. It doesnt sound like the owners are very well liked in their community. Whats the real story with these people ? Im curious. I wouldnt pay a dime to see this castle if these people have been so rude and unwelcoming in the past. They obviously need money now and have chosen to give up their privacy in exchange.

They used to call "tourist" who would drive by GAWKERS and yell obscene remarks for them to leave and go away, while they smoked their ganja in the garage, now they wanna open the doors ? For monetary purposes only I could imagine ? Go get real jobs like everyone else. Tell your 40 yr old children to grow up n get a life! I know this from personal experiences , I have known the strohls for years they have always been secretive and enjoyed their privacy even planting bushes and building walls and fences to protect that privacy keeping people out as much as possible! This whole tour thing is a croc of poop , its not good for the neighborhood or vilage of Frg period!
