I mean, fine, lets be nice to all the animals--but not even using the animal products that don't require mistreatment... That just doesn't make sense. I have known many vegans, and not one of them looks healthy, nor or they happy. Veganism is just plain absurd. I think a study needs to be done on the health of children reared on a vegan diet, I'm sure it will find they are far immunologically and physically weak than the rest of us.
Aaron, while I am not a vegetarian (although I would be one if it would ensure I would lose five pounds, but hey!)... I am fairly familiar with much of their "propoganda" (as I like to tease my mother, the vegan).

While eating the meat of an animal is suredly contributing to their death, partaking of other animal products also perpetuates the cycle.

Where do you think we get our milk and dairy products from? Well... Farmer Ed takes the baby calf from the cow and then provides us with the milk. What do you think they do with the calf then? Put it in a petting zoo? If it's female, she may go back into the system to be yet, another, over hormone stimulated producer - or worse yet - if it's a male, he may become your next Nike or a plate of veal parmesan. So, unfortunately, it does perpetuate the cycle.

Some of them are so whacked out they won't eat honey! How silly is that?!

If "Warwak" on these postings is the genuine article, then the reasons for his dismissal are clear. These are not the maunderings of a balanced individual, no matter his cause.

The school board did well by getting him away from children. I hope someone is watching his family, as well.

I smell a fuse burning.

Animals are not ours to do whatever the damn well we please with. If Children trust us to make decisions for them, shouldn't we be absolutely certain it is good and right? Furthermore, shouldn’t we always be willing to discuss these issues instead of avoiding them in fear of change?
ACtually they are. We are pretty much at the top of the foodchain. Much like a cat can play with its prey when it catches it so can we. This is not to say we do, most times those that kill animals for food try to do it as expediently as possible however there are some that are less than ethical. That happens and the only thing we can do is identify them or hope they realize that its easier to kill an animal quickly than to have a squirming writhing animal flailing around while one tries to cut it up. Personally i dont care how they kill it, be as brutal as necessary they will kill it faster than any natural predator. Which by the way we have very few of now so the animals would breed out of control if we didnt eat them and they would then die of starvation or kill a few humans as they wandered out onto roads. Though im sure you would be more upset about the cow than the family of 4 that died so you can have your moral values projected onto others. Because you are no different than the anti-choicers you want YOUR morals forced on others and will do whatever you can to do that. Once again taking choice away from others. You were not trying to educate you were trying to force the school into doing your bidding. If you wanted to educate the kids thats one thing, hell even if you tried to get the school to have veggie alternatives would be fine but you wanted to take the choice away completely. You just chose this lifestyle why not worry about yourself and your own life before you try to indoctrinate other peoples children into your cult. You have proven you have a weak mind in the first place stop trying to make everyone else as weak as yourself.

The Warwak ranting on this board is him. This little sample of his insanity is only the tip of the iceberg. No grown man should go on and on about loving the children so much. Doesn't Michael Jackson love the children too?

But then again, he was nearly as passionate about the Atkins Diet when he was eating his furry friends exclusively last year.

Funny how beefhead feels most - feeling guilty and defensive for pushing poison on children? No wonder you still are so active on these boards in your smear campaign. Case closed.

The POINT is that a school ART class is NOT the place for your soapbox, Warwak.

Yes, students can and should be educated about alternate diets and lifestyles, but ramming it down their throats and FAILING TO DO YOUR JOB is not the best way to go about it.

If anything, your irate rants and incomprehensible tirades have HURT your cause.

The manner in which you have brought your "message" to these children has all but ensured that intelligent debate will not be part of their decision making on this topic.

Instead, they see an unbalanced individual and write off the substance of your arguement as "crazy"

You have done a grave disservice to the entire vegan/vegetarian community and have all but ensured that they children (as well as others following this story) will NOT take this issue seriously.

Well done.

TRA is right Warwak. I hadnt really thought of it that way before. You did us meat eaters a great service by acting completely nuts. You imparted a blow to veganism that none of us could do as efficiently. For that i do thank you. Keep talking i hope PETA makes you a spokesman or something that would be awesome, you might all but wipe out vegan/vegetarianism marginalizing it as equivocal to militant religious fanaticism.
