I am not happy about getting rid of our police.

I like beautifying the village.

I don't care about beautifying the village.

Referencing that 3/4 of a million dollars! Is that the same 3/4 and more million dollars we are paying Grayslake for the seldom seen police service?

Hey look do away with Hainesville Fest and have a alcohol party instead. ooops sorry Fest returns next year for a whole weekend? Now where is the money coming from to pay for that? Cuts all around closing village hall to save money spend more with hiring more employees buy more equipment for public works. Now a 3 day Fest next year, I smell an increase in my taxes certain board members campaigned that hey would cut our taxes. Yes same old same old herein hainesville!!!

Ok what gives? I have been trying to see when next community relations committee meeting will be and all the village web site says is cancelled! I back tracked the CALENDER and all I have found is a meeting in January and April that don't have CANCELLED on them... Unless that was a mistake? No idea why unless the mayor is taking over everything. Maybe that is why hainesville Fest is cancelled because no one could say what they wanted at the Fest. Meetings were cancelled!! Guess its true what I hear, that one guy that was Trustee that did the Fest, he really knew what he was doing and did a fantastic job! Sorry to se those days go! Guess no more good times for the residents any more this August! ; (

And has anybody else noticed that the YOUTUBE sight where the village posts the videos of all the board meetings is seriously screwed up on time line for the meetings?! You would think that the latest meeting would be the first selection! Not true it is way messed up!!! Some don't even have the full meeting just the 2nd or 3rd part. What is wrong with showing the whole thing, trying to hide something??? I can't make meetings so I want to watch them there but I can't . It's all messed up!

Hey guess where the dozen or so trees that the village planted in the marshy area at the enterence to deer point on the east side close to rt. 120 went? That's right they mowed them down again. Now I'm sure the village will say they died because they weren't meant for that environment , or had a disease or something. But the fact is quit wasting or tax dollars for the village offices screw ups! If your going to put something in there it has to be able to live in a wet zone! Oh yeah and what about all the thousands of dollars used to fix the area back to a water detention area, not a water retention area? Yup that's right more wasted money, still is a mosquito breeding ground for west Nile !

Over the last few years I have not been too thrilled with the "beautification" efforts of the trustee in charge. But, I have to admit that since we have (apparently) hired a regular landscaper, things are looking better at the entrances. I'm happy that it appears that the effort to make a park??? at 120 and Deerpoint Drive has been abandoned. It was throwing good money after bad. If you buy a home in an area that is surrounded by wetlands then let it BE wetlands.

I couldn't agree more. It looked a lot better there before all the stuff was cut down. Marsh reeds and cattails are a natural growth in wetlands.
Just saying

Not trying to be mean or anything but I remember when I first looked at buying a house here and asked what the area in front enterence by 120 was going to be. They said water detention area not a small park that I hoped. But look at it now it has become water retention instead. Even the Village hall has said at meetings it was meant for detention and NOT retention. They even spent thousands of dollars to correct the problem. Well all I see is a waste of money so they should just don't touch it and save tax dollars. Besides where would the wild life go if they dried it up. Beautification can only go so far, save money let it be. Just treat it for Mosquitos when the are out.
