Driver sentenced in fatal crash

A Benton County woman has been sentenced to six years in prison for driving drunk killing her passenger.

Was She Judged By Whether she was the Driver or Was she Judged By Her Past and Hear Say !! Imagin how many of us would be sitting in prison if we to were judged by our Past and on Hear say ! UNBELIEVABLE !

UNBELIEVABLE is right! She was driving while intoxicated and KILLED someone and only received six years.... What about the death sentence she handed to her passenger & what about the lifetime of grief she handed to his family and friends?

She absolutely was NOT judged by the courts by her past. They never even brought that up in the trial per the judge and no one on the jury knew her past. She was not found guilty by her past. She was found guilty for her poor decisions. Which I might add she made over and over and over again! She is lucky that she didn't kill anyone else like a child. The thing is is that there is no remorse from her. It would totally different if she was sorry for her actions that night, but she is not! Honestly, she should get more than 6 years I think, but it is what it is. At least she got that and has to go to rehab. She has a disease and needs help. Let's hope she learns her lesson this time.

I DON'T THINK SHE SHOULD HAVE GOTTIN THAT MUCH TIME IN PRISON. THE REASON IS BECAUSE THERE IS A GUY HERE IN TIPPECANOE COUNTY WHO DID THE SAME THING BY DRIVING DRUNK AND RUNNING INTO A BUNCH OF TREES AND KILLING HIS PASSANGER. HE GOT TWO YEARS IN PRISON. THE SYSTEM STINKS HERE IN INDIANA.

Jessica I bet you would think different if it was your family or friends. Im gonna say this I seen her come out of two bars probably 2 weeks b4 her trial. Better yet I know for a fact that the police ems and fire and rescue has responded to 3 crashes that involved her in 2 yrs for drinking so you tell me. Thats one woman who will never learn just like the last one who killed a man on 41 near earlpark. SHE DIDNT GET ENOUGH JUST LIKE THE LAST ONE DIDNT.

I think like any other criminal, you have to do your time. She should spend evey single day in jail, with no chance of getting out early. jeremy had no chance, YOU KILLED HIM, do your time & it will all be over. Hopefully when you get out you would have learned your lesson, and most importantly you will grow up, you're not a teenager anymore. Its too bad your other friend involved won't be there for you while you sit int that cold cell. He will be out here crusing the streets of boswell, hanging out with his friends. YOU'll be all lone. I don't feel sorry for you.
