this department is like mayberry.barney and andy.
this has to be the worst police department in nc.
they want answer phone or make proper reports why do we even pay them?so if you need help from them i feel sorry for you.four oaks is one of the worst places to live in this state.so beware.

Well, I live in Four Oaks, and I think the FOPD does a fine job. We are a small community with limited funds (unlike Raleigh). FOPD always seems to get the job done. Mabe Mr. Jacksons attitude brings out the southern hospitality it deserves.

Mr Jackson lives in Four Oaks and so do I. I have lived here all my life. If you will notice no ones address on here is listed as Four Oaks. Its just the way this forum is set up.
Limited funds does not mean the PD cannot do their job. It should not take a weeks worth of calling and then calling the mayor before someone will return a call. They should also know how to fill out a simple police report accurately but they are too busy sitting up at Hess trying to get a donut or a cashier.
We took our issue to the SHP and they were not surprised at all. They have had numerous complaints about FOPD. I just hope you never need them for anything serious.

SO bashing them publicly is the answer??

If you have a problem with them file a complaint. Bashing a small comminity PD publicly like this is hurtfull to the community, not just PD.

I bet if the shoe were on the other foot and Mr.Jacksons Reputation was being bashed publicly, he would love to have me stand up for him.

well i live here to .but going back to benson where there are a lot better class of people.four oaks should be in irac.

Mr Dudley, I am a Ms not a Mr. and I don't see how telling the truth would be hurtful to the community. If you would get off of Old School rd and drive into the city limits you would see that we are not the only ones that have problems with the PD. If you ask many people around here they will most will tell you the same thing. Just go to 4042.com and look what some of the area residents posted about them.

All i tried to do here was point out that there are better ways to deal with problems than going public. And yet it gets turned into this. From plp like Ms. Byrd. No wonder the police wont call you back. I can only imagine what the message sounded like. I think I will follow their lead and not respond to you anymore. Mabe you can find some compation in you dark personality and not publicly bash me after this. But my gess is that you will follow up with some other comment to the likes of (More of JOCO finest trailer park trash.) or (If you would get off of Old School rd and drive into the city limits)

I was a former officer in Four Oaks. The PD is dispatched through a central 911 system, not thru the PD. Every call that was dispatched was answered when I was there. yes, a lot of complaints, like you, go unwarranted. If someone doesnt jump when you say so, you get upset. Why dont you go to Walmart and try that. Bet you'll be standing in line waiting there as well. Four Oaks is a good place to live and work. But go back to Benson if you wish. You wont last long there either.
