Why would Sheriff Duncan say that these arrests are "otherwise law-abiding citizens, other than the fact that they are here undocumented". What is 'undocumented', is a drug dealer and 'undocumented' pharmacist? The truth it that those here illegally are breaking the law. That is why they are illegal aliens, not undocumented, free-loading, guests.
They burden our social services and don't pay into the system. I know some people are of the mindset that America would falter if we lost all these low wage workers, but get real!! If they want to work here at jobs, let the employer and the foreigner arrange a legitimate work visa. What a friggin' novel idea!!
I don't care if your Mexican, Columbian, Scottish, Arabian, African or anything else. If you are here illegally, then as Americans we have every right and personal conviction that we must do what ever we can to find you out and get your out. Unsecured boarders led to and unsecured nation.

I'm not surprised. My daughter clerked with a Fed. judge in NC years back. She said a lot of the cases were 'arrested for driving while being an immigrant'.

It's amazing how left this country is becoming. This sheriff's right of free speech is somehow being used as a tool to summon sympathy for illegal immigrants and call to attention racism when actually if they weren't HERE illegally in this country, then there would be no frustration as to WHY they are permitted to remain.
I personally think the illegals should all be immediately deported- along with their advocates.

"Years back," lots of things were different in society.
"Years back" if a minority was seen in an all white neighborhood,(or a white was seen in an all minority neighborhood), there was a heads up with the residents and law enforcement.
"Years back" does not apply anymore.
It's here and now and they are ILLEGAL. So, they have no rights.
