This do-nothing needs to be replaced. Time to withdraw the war chest blank check, remove all the lock-step republicans, support our troops by bringing them back home and get to work turing this country back around.

I believe in Obama. I think after today He has set a new bar for America. At least Washington got it right this time in delegating its delegates. The Clinton era must end. Clintons have too many body bags behind them too.

Okay...may I ask precisely what you are doing to bring about change here in Eastern WA ? There are several, if not many, groups that could use more help in getting accurate information dispersed.
McMorris touts herself as a Pro-Vet candidate, she makes splashy PR events here & than goes back to DC and support Bush's budget that underfunds VA programs. Her "Red White and Blue" image belies her true color...which is green...like money.

The eastern people are mostly outvoted by the west part of the state. Whatever they want, they get. Take for instance that Mariners ballpark we are paying for over here. I dont care how many millions the owner has put into the build, we over here shouldn't be putting our money into something most of here don't go over for its use. There are still usage fees if ya rent it and we still have to pay for parking and we still have to pay for tickets like they do but we have to drive 300 miles to spend use it. Just one on the list of many.

McMorris Rogers represents E.WA. If you want to change DC, we must also change the Bushies. This means (for us) McMorris Rogers. So aside from being frustrated with the over infuence of W.WA., what actions will you take to bring about a change in E.WA and DC. McMorris votes in the House of Representatives (Bushs' stronghold) whatever He wants HE gets it whether or not it's in the best interest of the country. McMorris Rogers follows staight down party lines. More wealth to the wealthy less and less to the rest of us. The only thing she's contradicted the presidents will on is when she voted for SCHIP. And that was only because becoming a mother has given her some minor semblance of a human being. If you want Obama to be able to change this country, do something to help. He can't do it alone and he can't do it with republicans blocking every piece of humanitarian legislation.- Don't mean to go on and on...I just feel pretty stongly about our country and the citizens involvement in it!

I know Im for Obama, Im sick of the watching out for the rich too. The middle class has all but ceased. The average poor in this country make less than 50 thousand a year. Over 4000 p/m. That is to a lot of money for people here in Spokane. A very good living, not poor. There is so much on this subject that I could go on but.... Change is voting in Obama. Party line voting is dumb, because it doesn't leave room for any diversity. It makes people an automaton and a mindless fool.
As each situation comes up a person needs to consider the possible outcome. Not the stupid crap that comes from Hillary "Well I voted for it but hoped it wouldn't pass" hello, anybody home.

Well I guess my point is that on a local level, what are your priorities? Do you prefer legislation that encourages the health and well being of the middle and low income families or do you prefer legislation that encourages more profits for big business at the expense of small business owners and the environment? Do you support sustaining our communities and their environment or do you prefer unchecked developement? Do you support protection for our aquifer and the Spokane River, or do you support business and developement that increases pollution and degradation? Do you support individual farmers or do you support big agri-business? Do you support developement of better ways to provide energy? If you're like me, you are somewhere in the middle-ish leaning more toward the common man and the environment. The question then becomes who is closer to those values? And who then goes back to DC to represent those values, to prevent or create legislation to protect them? You can go to either Political party's websites and look at their stated platforms. Today, we basically only have the two main parties to choose from- at least for this election. Republicans claim that democrats are tax and spenders. The democrats claim Repulicans are pro-corporation. The fact is both party's raise taxes. As the cost of services and operation go up, the money to pay for them has to come from somewhere. The difference is that Republicans tend to "tax" the people by eliminating services and cutting back funding (like for our National Parks and scientific research while creating tax breaks for Exxon etc). And Democrats tend to increase taxes for corporations and business. The last Democratic President left office with a 3 trillion dollar surplus. This President will leave office with a 3 trillion dollar deficit (6 million if you count the 3 trillion he squandered). In anycase, you need to extrapolate the meaning of the platforms to the effect they have in everyday life. It can be hard to see through the PR and accusations but it's worth researching.

McMorris Rodgers has to go. Just check her voting record and see just who she is. A rubber stamp for the administration. I have written
her on a few issues and she replies with "I will keep your interests in mind" and then votes with her boss. What a loser. The Republicans in Eastern WA better take a good look at her and vote in someone who can face their constituents with DUTY-HONOR-COUNTRY. Something she has failed to do.

McMorris Rodgers is actually a great representative. What are you paying for gas right now??? She wants to drill. Unfortunately Obama and the environmentalists want to keep us energy dependent. Look up ANWR and actually look at it on a map - it is Arctic desert not an actual "reserve". That is just a bureaucratic name.
