Probably just a few of the Illegally Aliens pouring across the WIDE OPEN Mexican Border which the USA Presidents and USA Congressional Majorities FLAT refuse to secure and stop the many, many Millions of Illegal Aliens pouring into the USA. They have ALLOWED and ENCOURAGED these Illegal Entries since the 1986 Illegal Alien Amnesty. By keeping the USA Borders/Coastlines WIDE OPEN for them to Illegally Enter and talk constantly about giving them Amnesty to ENCOURAGE many, many, many more to Illegally Enter----then play Cop with a few and spend a lot of money. Deport a few and then watch as they show right back up in the USA coming right back across the USA UNSECURED BORDERS or landing on it's UNSECURED COASTLINES. The Illegal Aliens are ALLOWED in on PURPOSE and ENCOURAGE to Illegally enter the USA ON PURPOSE or the Mexican Border WOULD BE SECURED and stop their pouring into the USA---. Then there get any kind of VISA to enter the USA and JUST NOT EXIT the USA when it EXPIRES!!!!!! BUT WHATEVER the lettuce IS CHEAP!!

We pay for the housing of the migrant workers, their medical, their education, their food, their child care through head start and just about everything else they need. But the real kicker is the lettuce you're buying is coming from Mexico. Yes, much of our produce is imported from Mexico where it's cheap to buy because they use sewer water to water it and cheaper labor to pick it. The produce that is grown here (not much since the drought) is exported to other countries because it's higher quality and can garner a higher price. I live in an ag area in California and know exactly what is happening. Most of what is being grown as annual crops now is strawberries which are the most profitable yet the most labor intensive. But that's not a problem, we taxpayers pay to subsidize the labor and the growers reap all that extra profit. Then they lobby Diane Finestien and Barbara Boxer to sign legislation for more migrant workers. Even though because of the drought most of the migrants are unemployed, our California politicians sign that legislation to bring in more. And where do all those unemployed migrant workers land up? At our welfare offices and in front of Home Depot.

Calif. water war spreads to Congress http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/A... The debate got personal at times. Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., whose family has farmed in the San Joaquin Valley for three generations, accused Miller of leading efforts to keep water from flowing to "an area that has 40 percent unemployment in some cases, that has folks standing in food lines and land dry with tumbleweeds."
