Bucks official's crash shines light on vehicle use

Bucks County Chief Operating Officer David Sanko crashed a county-owned sport-utility vehicle into the back of a pickup truck in Doylestown on July 3 because he was following too closely, police say.

He should not be using the county car for personal business of any sort, including commuting.

its all a loophole, they use the cars for everything they need, and calculate that into "work"related reasons, in the same way my a small business owner would write off several purchases he made for personal reasons as business expenses! If you think this is bad, you should see what kind of car our state lawmakers drive around in, lincolns, lexus, basically luxury cars , free gas cards, at taxpayers expense!

And I bet the gas he charged on his so called PERSONAL credit card he probably submitted the receipts on an expense report which he would have been reimbursed as well. He should have to perform community service to work off the repair bill.

Again the county commissioners and their puppetts pull the strings to the amusement of the residents. Sanko lives in Harrisburg, and should not be operating or given special consideration. There are many poeple in Bucks County who work, in Harrisburg and use their own vehecle and gas every day. Get rid of Sanko ASAP.

if that was a regular county employee they would have been fired,but dave sitting on his throne is untouchable,i wonder if he pissed in a bottle like all county employes have to do after a motor vehicle accident,please dave let the little people know
