Thanks Mel. Don't let them get to you. I sure don't. A little disappointed about my week off because of lack of energy. But hanging in there. Best thing about this week, I help my daughter in law get a Z24. I paid for it by my welfare check.:) Got a estimate on some repair for my house. He said it would be between $10000 to $20000 for the foundation repair. You see I am far from a welfare person.

Sorry about the lack of energy during your week off. You have been through so much. Your body is telling you it needs a rest and time to heal. Take care of yourself.

Hi David. I don't let them get to me but their ignorance is just a little much. Their bullying someone who is battling cancer just proves it time and time again.
Glad you are hanging in there and not feeling too bad. The lack of energy will get better. Nice of you to help out your daughter in law, too. You are a gem. Haha. I like your comment how you paid for it with your welfare check. I hope you find a good, reputable crew to do your house repairs.

Better watch yourself if you really live in fortville. I use to live on Holiday drive and I know how redneck that town is. No Blacks or Gays.

Now for update. I took a CT scan Friday. After making sure that it was approved by medicare. We got it approved ten minutes before the time I was to be there. It is a shame that a sick person has to worry about getting something like this approved between the hospital and insurance company. Only took six hours from taking fluids and the scan. Then when she hook the dye up opps we sprang a leak in the tubing. Well at least my tech was cute. And yes she was female.
Now next week I go back to three times that week. Really I have lost track of what they are charging. I estimate That I have read about $150,000 in charges, mostly that they have wrote off. Myself, I am about $1300 so far.

I went for my chem cycle 3 day 1. Got some good news. The CT scans showed lungs were clear and the tumor in the bladder is half the size it was in March. We are talking about a complete cystectomy. That is the removable of the bladder and prostate. Looks like last of July or the 1st of August.

This is major surgery. I will be in the hospital seven to fourteen days. It takes some months to recover. Now I have two options. I can play the victim or I can get up and do it. I will stick with the second. You see I have been though another medical issue in 2009 where I had to learn how to walk, feed myself and talk. I turn down their rehabilitation. Three week from the date I left the hospital, I walked back in unassisted. Some of the nurses jaws dropped when the saw me. Besides if you know that everything is in order and you do believe in a higher power, It is not up to us to worry about the end.

Great news on your lungs and your bladder tumor shrinking! I'm glad you have opted for the cystectomy.
I think it's great you turned down rehab and opted to do your self rehab at home in 2009. Three weeks amazing, but it was your determination and and will power that allowed it happen. I'm sure the doctor and nurses were amazed!
I know you will do just fine through your surgery and after. Keep your head up and keep the positive thoughts in your life.

Now for the insurance issues. On the CT scan I found out that it had not been approved by medicare. They said medicare did not call them back and medicare said the hospital did not call. Ten minutes before I left I finally found a person that got it done. I can not wait to see the billing price of this scan. It took six hours. Most of it was taking in fluids by IV in the short stay unit. Then the girl that took the scan, something happen when she put the dye in, the tubing came apart. She blamed it on the short stay unit by saying they used the wrong size tubing. She was having a bad day at work and said she needed a drink tonight. Anyway I have to go back to my Urology June 11. This is only to talk about the surgery and who is to do it. One Doctor they have recommend is the only specialist in this field in Indianapolis. He is not within my medicare system.
There is a Doctor coming into the system in July at Community. The Urology appointed is not needed as far as I am concern. And there billing amount of a office call was over $400 just to talk.

On finding a surgeon to do the operation, they said they would take care of it. What happen? They made a appointment to go back to the same doctor that recommended the first on that was not within my group. I will question them about this when I go back in Tuesday. I see no use on a $400 office call to only to talk about a new surgeon.

it has nothing to do with "paying your bills". If you could only see how they bill you, maybe you would understand a little better. I got a bill for $44,0000. That is the only thing it stated. Some how it got written off. If they broke everything down doing my treatment, I would have to have a warehouse to store the paper work in. Just glad this will be over with by time ObamaCare gets here.

My Pastor was saying today that a bag of anti-nauesa powder cost $20,000.00, one bag. He said without insurance he would be broke. And it has been said that the cost of treating cancer, under Obamacare will go up a great deal, for the patient. And young people, you are not immune to cancer either.

Isn't it funny how people like you think you can hide behind a false name and "nobody will ever find you"? What a dumAZz! How bout this idea? Go out and get an education, start a business, work 7 days aweek, then retire while you're young enough to still post opinions on forums.. I would bet your posts would be more mature after that ride... And yes, static IPs can be tracked if someone really wishes to....
