Fountain Hills Great Fair Draws Artists and Musicians to the Valley February 20, 21 and 22
(FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZ.)- The 2009 Fountain Hills Great Fair is on its way to the Valley of the Sun, bringing three days of art and music that draws more than 200,000 visitors to the town of Fountain Hills. The Fair will take place on Friday and Saturday, February 20 and 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, February 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The three-day event will host more than 500 world-class artists, whose work will be shown and sold during the open air festival showcasing live music, art, and food.
After two days of reverie, the fair will begin its final day with the annual Hound and Hare hot air balloon competition, which starts at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, February 22 (weather permitting).
The Fountain Hills Great Fair attracts dozens of hot-air balloon enthusiasts, who come from miles around to both participate and experience the competition. The launch will take place near the scenic Fountain Lake, which is home to the famous Fountain Hills fountain, one of the tallest in the world.
Each year we host the Fair, we get an amazing response from visitors looking to come out and enjoy the festive spirit and beauty Arizona is known for, notes Sharon Morgan, Event Producer for the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce, host of the event.Bringing together some of the most incredible artists in the nation is a true honor for us, and we are proud to host them and bring their beautiful art to Fountain Hills. Our 2009 festival promises to be our best ever.
Fountain Hills boasts scenic views and a quaint, small-town appeal. It is also home to some of the valleys most interesting and architecturally-appealing high-end homes.
Fountain Hills is a unique place and it has a lot to offer, adds Morgan.People who come here for the festival will have a great time beginning or adding to their original art collections, and, while they are here, they can take the picturesque drive on Palisades Boulevard and enjoy the one-of-a-kind homes that exist in our community. Its a special mix of small town and big-city influence, and its one destination in Arizona that I like to say is close enough to be convenient, yet far enough away to be original.
The festival is an ideal spot for eclectic shopping. Admission and parking are free. Parking is readily available. Handicap accessible.
