Roy, Thank you for letting us know. I'm very sorry to hear that. I liked Peter a lot. Very nice man with a soft heart. And a very good piano player as well.

My sincere condolences Roy. Peter was loved by everyone, for good reason. He was talented, generous, earnest and above all, humble.

Hey Roy, that's sad news. I always hoped to see Pete again. He was a great friend and kind of a jazz mentor for me. We worked together selling pianos in Chicago in the early 90s. He helped me get a big scholarship to Berklee and changed my life forever. I'm actually pretty messed up over this news...he'll be missed. RIP Pete

I'm not sure that Roy meant that as a good thing.

I would agree with brother d. If the people Peter gave his life for actually appreciated what he did, it seems they would have posted something on his funeral memory page. None did. At least I didn't see any.

Although I think the foundation should have made some formal contribution to the obit, it's fairly typical of online obits. It doesn't mean he wasn't mourned properly - folks just aren't going online to do it. Most any ex-member has mourned him to the extent of how well they knew him. There's is no doubt the current members loved him as we did. He was a good guy who won't be forgotten.

Biskit, You have to look at the contrast. When June Walker passed, the foundation and current members paid for her funeral in Arkansas. They set up a site through the funeral home, posted photos, posted comments, and the entire rally of respect. On the other hand not a peep about Peter from the foundation or current members.

Only the ex members and his brother had anything good to say about Peter on the world wide web.

I think it's a shame that not one person stood up for Peter. No one signed the registry or offered condolences. Who were Peter's brothers and sisters, and where were they at his passing? Not one had a good memory to share? Rest in peace, brother. We miss you.
