Then I believe he would beat them all. He's got my vote. You mean the duputy sheriff we have now does not live in Bracken county, IS that LEGAL ??? That would be like have a county attorney and not living in Bracken County and living in Maysville .

It's not illegal to have a sheriffs deputy live outside the county he is employed in as deputies are not elected officials. The same works for city police departments.

Wow. This is a crazy list. I hope Mr. Smith does not intend to run based on this pole. Add him with people who are actually will or considering to run. John is the only other one who is considering from that list. All the others have tried and failed horrifically. Or are not elligable. And Frodge is not interested. What about Mark Branam? There is a good candidate. You would have my vote. It is time for someone who would actually have a clue as to how to move forward. Frank cant even keep his wife sobber and out of other peoles beds. Give it up.

Gary Frodge-Another Alexandria Policeman and what I would say is Bracken Counties finest along with Bob Scott BOTH have work history together and would be outstanding sheriffs but sadly they are not interested I heard. John Riley-May be halfway ok if he keeps his nose clean. Chris Baker-not enough experience and doesn`t want to live in Bracken County, but a good deputy Herb Rumford-a decent deputy nothing more Greg Cummins-has made several failed for the sheriff office. He has way to affairs under his belt and is currently calling a married and unemployed woman in Augusta a girlfriend..so NO WAY! .. I didnt think it was anything nasty she wrote, It was the truth, They didnt want him in, so they set him up with Love and money and he fell for it, I guarantee he is better qualified than and other I see on this list. Remember Bracken is full of Dirty people...And I one of them...

Gary Frodge would be great. Bob Scott would be a large step forward. Mark Branam would be a good sheriff. Pat Taylor would make good sheriff. Unfortunately, none of these gentlemen are seeking office. As for who is, we'll have to wait until the end of January. However, I do believe the 2010 sheriff election will mirror the previous with several people throwing their names into the hat thereby, allowing a 'nobody' the oppotrunity to make office. In 06' we thought we got lucky as the majority went for Rechtin and Taylor with Rechtin winning (look how that turned out). I just hope someone with the credintials and desire will turn up in the ballads and the county wont have to split votes among many candidates.

I know each of these men and Trig you are on top of your game. Personally I'm hoping Frodge or Taylor will have a change of heart. These two men are dedicated and have always treated people with respect and are friendly. I don't know Mr. Branam, but I've heard good things. Mr. Scott is just a bit to tied in with the last and present Sheriff to make me comfortable.

Get these people out of office who don`t show up for their meetings, don`t answer voters calls or complaint calls. They are out during the election but never to see them again till next election year. They are only in office to get their retirement or double dipping. Get their stale a$$ out!
