Don't think Riggs will get re-elected. To many people against zoning and he and Hennessey and Kelsch are for it. I would say they all will get beat. Would have to say they will be a big change in the whole fiscal court system
I tip my hat to Hennessey, Kelsch, Lippert and Brumley for sticking to what they believe would be in the best interest for the county despite the obvious threats and risk to their property and lives. In my opinion, we need more political figures who are not willing to let home-grown terrorists manipulate the course of our future by using the same scare tactics our country's enemy used against us on 9/11.

Tip your hat? Brumley never even showed up to vote for zoning and left all his other members hanging and lippert and Brumley isn`t even running again and then you have a Perry Poe who bailed on them to and then you have Clark who when people in his district call to voice their complaints can`t even get him on the phone or for him to return a call. So tip my hat? I think not! TIME FOR A CHANGE!

Yes, you're right, Brumley didn't show up for the last reading and vote and Perry Poe did resign. Both were concerned for them and their families welfare and decided it just wasn't worth the risk. What would you do? The other three magistrates who were in support of zoning all received threats to their lives and property but still stuck to their guns. These are the types of people I want in fiscal court; politics with backbones!!!

Well Hennessey and Kelsch live in or near Augusta and zoning was never a issue to them because Atown isn`t part of the zoning so no they didn`t put their lives on the line they just rode the pony show!

I guess receiving a threatening letter in your mail box (after the fact that Brumleys home was burnt down) claiming bad things will happen to you if you continue to support zoning isn't anything at all to worry about. Surely the whole letter deal was just a practical joke that was meant to be funny for ALL the magistrates in support. I don't believe so! The fact that both Hennessey and Kelsch live in the city limits of Augusta does not mean that they are any safer from having their homes burnt to the ground from the same people who got Brumleys. Or do you know something no one else does?!

I think what EMS person it saying is that how can you be effective magistrate if you a scared to attend meetings or face the people who elected you. You accepted the job so do it. If you feel like you are threaten then step down.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Taurus

Everything seems to be getting under your skin at the moment, but this is no excuse to lose your temper, and you know it. Better by far to be discreet and plough on steadily, without looking to the left or right. If you keep your feet on the ground and don't get discouraged, there are definitely fair winds that will blow you along. It's just a question of finding the right balance between confidence and commonsense.
