I am trying to pull all the parents and/or students that have been lied to by Jenny Ray or Clay King. Whether graduated or currently attending. Any student that have been repeatedly selected for drug searches that turned up nothing. Any suspension or expulsion that you believe were invalid. Willing to sign a petition to have Jenny Ray and Clayton King removed as principal and vice principal. If you want to join the fight to take away their power please email me at ChangingBCHS@gmail.com with your story or your help. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

You all better get back away from Jenny Ray because her house of cards are about to fall. I am glad that you are friends. My kids does not have a drugs test. I drugs test my children on a regular basis. Do you? So I know if my children are drug addicts. They aren't. I know that she is a liar. You will see it soon also and you will be the one saying that mom told me about it on topix.

Red Gold,
cleary nobody did that job for you..

its 'their', not 'there'.

I agree though that drug testing at school is a little far reaching for a publically financed institution.

sure, if a kid brings drugs to school... or uses those drugs at school, its the complete right of that school to do something about it...
but what a kid does in his or her personal life away from school should be in the hands of the parents.

No question there is too much politics in BCHS! In my opinion we would be better off with a principle that is more removed from this. But I seriously doubt that is going to happen.

As for Ms. Ray.

I am not saying Ms. Ray always has the best judgement, who does, and dealing with so many kids is hard.

Lets face facts, teenagers, can and will lie, etc. The best of them will do stupid things!

The only real significant problem with Ms Ray that I have seen is the politics around her son, and I suspect that is mainly driven by the idiot she married. If he would stay out of things related to that boy, especially as it pertains to ball, life would be much easier for both the boy and Ms. Ray.

Why do you think the boy ran his mounth to a girl a few weeks ago at the football game, called her ugly and fat. Because daddy has made him into a brat! I certainly do not blame the girl for knocking his sissy butt around some. There is a lot of dirty laundry around this topic and the Rays!!

Now, maybe there is more going on, and if so, it should be brought out, but I doubt it exist.

As for drugs, I personally do not feel enough is done, the dogs should be brought in more often, and the school and vehicles purged of the crap.

If you want to you can pretend there is not a big drug problem, but there certainly is, and everyone in Bracken County needs to demand that more be done.

Let's get the facts straight, first of all the reason Mr. Ray is taking charge of his son is that Mrs. Ray is never home and takes little part of raising her children. The next fact is that the school was locked down the other day due to a student bringing a gun to school but was covered up by the administration. They thought that looking for drugs was a better story than a student having a deadly weapon. Staff was told that if they told anyone about this they would be fired.

That happened in 2001 also, but they didn't even bother to try to cover it up with a drug story...they just swept it under the rug.

It is always fun to hear problems like this. Why does Bracken Cty High keep mishandling the problems? Can't you transfer to somewhere like Deming or Mason and make them (BCHS) realize that you can't have a good school unless you have kids in them!

I for one have never delt with Mrs. Ray. I have children in the BCHS, but she never really deals with it. I always get King. The only thing I can say about the woman is that her choice of dress is not always ok for a school setting. I for one could not do her job though. The kids are just being kids, but some of the parents around here are worse then any teen I've met. Most of us just want our kids to have a good education, and not be afraid to go to school. I don't want to attack anyone, but something up there has to change.

My son was on the honor role all through elementary. He always has good attendance. In middle school he was in accelerated math a very intelligent boy. He took his SAT in 7th grade and tested higher than the average high school graduate on the way to college. He .filled his day with math and basketball. Then it all fell apart in one of their searched; the dog hit on his locker but no drugs were found. They searched his person and got a cigarette rolling paper ; no drugs were found but they kicked him off the basketball team and put him in alternative school for thee months. Which made him loose his accelerated math and made me start drug testing at home. He is not on drugs, but once more he is in trouble for drugs at school. The dog supposedly hit his car and once more NO DRUGS WERE FOUND. They got a chewed on straw out of his car called it drug paraphernalia and suspended him. BUT NO DRUGS WERE FOUND. Never have they found drugs, but he always get punished like they did. I have complained to Tony Johnson and let him here a tape I have proving Mrs. Ray and Mr. King lied, but he doesn’t care. Where do I go from here? I hired a lawyer but that takes time while my son is being robbed of his education and reputation. He is an A-B student with great attendance, who likes to go to school and this is really taking its toll on him and it’s not fair. I hope people will stand up to stop the injustice that is and has been going on at BCHS. The kid deserve better. They need an education. I AM NOT FOR DRUGS AT SCHOOL and I’m sure there are some, but they are not trying to find them. If they were they would not spend so much time and resources picking on kids, when they don’t find the drugs. I pledge my allegiance to stopping this. WILL YOU JOIN ME?

Don't give up on your child. Let him know everyday that you love him and that you will always be there for him. I admire your stance on wanting your child to have an appropriate education but a wholesome and caring environment. Bracken used to be that kind of environment but the love of money and power has gone to the so-called administrator's heads and they have lost sight of what they are there for - to educate children. Your child has a constitutional right to a free and appropriate education without being bullied or harrassed but many times parents have to demand this through contacting agencies that will protect the rights of their child. Yes, you are wasting your time going to Mr. Johnson because his leadership skills have caused the behaviors that are demonstrated by Miss Ray and Mr King. The well paid superintendent uses profanity on school grounds and if you could find a courageous employee at the school bus garage they would tell you that he has brought alcoholic beverages on school grounds. But they need their jobs and they are constantly in fear of being fired. You can always file a complaint with the Office of Educational Accountability at the Kentucky Department of Education. I wish you and your child the best and feel you pain. If the citizens of Bracken County knew what was actually going on at Bracken County they would clear house.

Reforming BCHS, changing leadership today, so our children have a better tomorrow. That's the motto. I am creating a website to facilitate changing the leadership at the high school and possibly the superintendent. I will be sending additional information (as soon as I receive it info from the Board of Education) about a meeting for everyone to attend at the Board of Education. This way we may be able to change the policies at the high school and change the leadership too. Thanks for all your support and information. It has been very helpful in this matter.

One other thing, does anyone know how to get at teacher's union started for the district? I think if teachers were not afraid of repercussions they would support the movement for change. So any comments on this subject would be greatly appreciated, I need some direction and do not want to reinvent the wheel, if you know what I mean.

I have been told that last year the board extended his contract 4 more years and gave him a big raise. I was told that he makes 116,000 plus $300 a month for expenses. Can you believe that? And for what? Many of the staff have proof to get rid of him but they are afraid what will happen to them if it doesn't. Rumor has it that he had been sued several times but the board keeps paying with our tax money big lawyer fees to get him out of trouble. I hope everyone does go to the meeting and save our children and our money from this bottom feeder.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Sagittarius

Moodiness is never far away today, making you over-react to problems and giving you a tendency to take out your feelings on your nearest and dearest. If someone asks you what's really wrong, you'll struggle to explain and may even have to give up because you can't put it into words. It's like an itch that you can't scratch, and you don't know where it stems from or what it means.
