Ok, what will happen first? The Embarcadero gets flooded out due to a rising sea caused by polar ice melting or an asteroid takes out downtown San Francisco. My money is on the asteroid. So, first we need to spend our tax money on an asteroid neutralization system. Right?... Huh?... Right?

We can raise the money by putting a tax on ice cubes, used in licensed bars, and telescopes. Absurd? I don't think so.

However, if we go with the rising sea level, then we can pay for all those sea walls by adding a property surcharge tax on only those properties which are 10 feet above sea level or less. That includes beaches.

Next thing to consider: volcano containment systems. Think about it.

Ralph, I like the way you think. I think CA should ask the President for $100 Billion to save SF from any and all acts fro Mother Nature and beyond. Asteroids - check, earthquakes - check, sea level rising - check, alien invasion - check, volcanoes - check, tsunami - check, sea monsters - check,,, this list could get long, we might need $200 billion!

Pretty much all the areas that will be flooded on the inner bay (not Suisun Marsh) are landfill that used to be bay waters in say 1900. I say, good, they should be flooded.

It's SF who really cares anyway?!? It would be best if they all just made themselves a sacrifice to the Polar Ice Gods to save the rest of us,since they think they know what's is best for everybody.

What a crock of b.u.l.l.s.h.i.t! This would "possibly" happen no matter what we do! And so what!

What could be better than tying your boat up to the top of SF City Hall to fish for Stripper? Berkeley, Oakland, and Marin County underwater? Why is that a disaster? IMO opinion that would be a natural wonderland!(once all the filth washes away).

I'm banking on a global Bird-Brain Flu epidemic that targets Liberal Socialists and all their believers. A pandemic just for Liberals.

One can only dream. Imagine a world without Liberals! Naw! Who could we make fun of!

I've been anxiously awaiting "the big one" to rid us of this troublesome urb. That would be quicker than waiting for the seas to rise, which probably won't happen soon enough.

Combined with water starvation depopulating the Los Angeles basin, California would finally be free from Sodom and Gomorrah.

EXACTLY!
ALL Frisco cares about it Prop 8, anyway.
California would be a better place if the Bay Area slipped beneath the waves.

Any truth to the rumor that has Len da Mayor lobbying for the construction of Six Flags Marine World/Discovery Kingdom in Lagoon Valley after the present site, in Vallejo, goes under water?

Oh, and whatever happened to the argument that the State of California was going to break apart at the San Andreas Fault Line with the western portion sliding into the ocean? Probably another myth also.

Actually, I think the theory now is, everthing EAST of the San Andreas fault is going to fall into the ATLANTIC ocean.

Never know. Science changes all the time.

Myth? Please explain - or do you just choose not to believe in the scientific data collected to date?

You mean your manipulated computer models? Data! Ha! CO2? Considering water vapor or without water vapor? So what if it is warming or cooling! What the hell can you do about? HUH? Genius?

Stick your head in plastic bag with all the fools that believe in your fairy-tail Socialist BULLSHI>T! You dumb fukks couldn't pour pis.s out of boot, if the instructions were written on the heel!

The Weatherman can't even get the weather right tomorrow let alone ten years from now. Play with your Nintendo's and try to predict the future like you think your God. Arrogant, pinheads!

You doom-sayers haven't been right about a damn thing! Never! You get some REAL data! Try listening to someone else besides YOUR stuffed shirt, neo-primitive Liberals! Retest Newton's Law of Gravity or something useful!

You guys can argue all you want about the water level rising or falling but i don't think you will need to worry about that because the next earth quake that hits there will cure the argument of water rising.

well this is simple. This is not the first time in the worlds history for this to happen. But when it happened long ago there were no industry or factories, or liberal sciencetist. It was natural. So you only listen to one side of the argument and throw out the other side. sounds like you choose not to believe in the scientific data. I'M sure that is a doctor told you you were about to die from whatever you would go get a 2ND opinion and evaluate both very well.

I say this is a golden opportunity for all the hot earth nay-sayers to put their money where their yapping pie holes take up space. Why don't these flat-earthers offer property swaps for the land that will be flooded? Seems to me they could make a killing on all that real estate that they are just certain will stay dry.

And, just in case the deafening, no-stone unturned, growing consensus of all the credible scientists in the world are right...we could bottle C02 and throw canisters of the stuff at the flat-earthers, and they could tie them around their necks so we could spot their pointy heads floating in all those places where they use to stand.

Now that's a win-win.
