This unfortunately was passed by deception. The real tax is $181, the people were told it was a "$96 increase." The previous tax expired, so there is nothing to increase, also why didn't they disclose the entire $181 tax on the ballot. To add insult to injury, there is was certain class of people voting for this tax who would never get taxed themselves. I never took the tea party seriously, but they now have my attention.

Whoever wrote this ballot measure was not being completely truthful. Luckily in our society we have the option of seeing through it and voting accordingly

Don't think the tea party would have solved the issue.

Who's deceptive? I'm looking at the full text of the ballot measure and $181 is on the first sentence and

I'm happy for all the teachers that are not getting laid off thanks to the 67% yes vote and the students that will benefit from their teaching

The question on the paper ballot only shows the $96, the $181 was mentioned elsewhere in the election booklet. Why didn't they menion the $181 on the direct ballot question? I think the answer is obvious.

We all know what these slimes were alll into this together, their motto "our money and the hell with everyone else." The blame goes to:

-The Teachers Union
-The School Board
-The Foster City-San Mateo school execs
-Warren Slocum

Unfortunately, a number have been done on our residence. Also, the vote passed by 66.75, it stinks, these people will do anything to get this thing to pass and I beleive monkey business was involved.
