San Mateo garbage rates rising 23 percent
Residents and businesses will soon pay more for their new trash pickup service. Starting on April 1, bills for garbage, recycling and compost pickup in San Mateo will rise 23.3 percent.

So? We now get pickup of everything weekly, and the new recycle system is PERFECT. If ya don't want pickup, take your own trash to the dump.

Well, well, well. Pacifica taxpayer uncovered some facts during a court battle against recology and Pacifica Marxist politicals.
It appears that the politicals receive kickbacks from the trash company in exchange for 17 YEARS of trash pickup!
Belmont Marxist politicals did the SAME THING, I suspect!
We need a lawyer to do a prop 218 on Belmont and to go through Belmont's background of end runs to raise taxes, like forcing residents to pay for sewer lateral line replacement!
