I feel such sorrow to hear about this terrible loss. It was only a short time ago that I lost my own 16 year old son in a car crash. We lived in Fosston when my son was in grade school and more then likely he knew Michael Hove. I wouldn't wish this burden on anyone.I often remember how so many friends and aquaintances from Fosston sent their love and support to us at the time of our loss. This is a place of good people. These were good kids. It is such a hard world. I want the parents of all of these kids to know that our hearts go out to them. I pray that God will Send some sign and reassurance to these families. I am truely sorry.

I am a friend of Mike's, and an atendent at Fosston High. I think its cool that there are so many different responses out there whom are sympathysing with us.

A picture of him and emily are hanging on his locker, along with lots of sheets of paper on the wall across from his locker to write letters to him.

School just isn't...normal! It sucks...but what can you do? People are handling things there own way. No one can think clearly,we're all still expecting Mike to stroll in school and asking what's wrong with us or what happened.

His visitation is Wednesday after school-5 to 8.

The funeral is Thursday, May 18 at 2 pm at Hope Lutheran.

Then we-the Junior class- plan on placing a cross in the field where the crash ended up. We'll be going to his house and giving no only Ken and roxanne a tree, but the other two families on as well in rememberance.

He was the best of friends, and will be greatly missed.

Mike was one of the best kids anyone could know. He was fun loving and extremely caring. He had a great sense of humor and always put a smile on people's faces. May God give us all strength to get through such a tragic loss.

I'm from Fosston, and my family is very close to the Steinmetz family. Living in Minneapolis now, I just wanted to send my love and prayers to everyone back home.

the news of hearing a friend or relative was killed in a car accident is gut-wrenching. especially if they are young and have a promising life ahead of them. one of my best friends was killed not quite two months ago in a car accident. his best friend was driving and walked away without any scratches, and his other good friend in the passenger's seat was also killed. it is the worst news ive ever experienced in my life and i know how the fosston kids and community are feeling. however, im sure they are going to pull together and be strong for one another, just like our tight knit community did. grieving together is the best medicine. my thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this tragic accident.

I grew up in the area and knew the Steinmetz family many many years ago. It is a horrible thing to lose a child, or a loved one. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of this tragic incident.

My parents used to work for the Steinmetz's and lived on the farm and I used to babysit Adam everyday, I loved him and the family. I haven't seen them in a long time but it's so devastating to have him gone. I was looking forward to going to his graduation. Jim and Sue if you see this know that I am thinking about and the family and you are in my thoughts and prayers. I miss you all so much and I will miss Adam dearly. I am so sorry to lose such a wonderful child.
Love, Sarah
