I see new hope. I see people coming together like we have not seen in years. This was a long time coming. We had to hit rock bottom before we could start back up. We sure hit bottom in the last 8 years. Up we will go. :)

I see the 3 on the council still bending over the people of Fortville! Trying to protect their buddies with a Police oversight committee of some sort. I wonder who they will appoint to this useless committee? Unless the New Council is ready to buy out the contracts of the "Buddies", it is simply useless.
Maybe Phil Scrotum can get on that committee since Citizens won't be voting on who fills those positions ....

Frank you need to get a life. Please stop bringing so much negativity to these forums. Everytime someone says somthing positive you have to ruin it with your evil rants.

Evil? Why don't you spin a positive out of the fact that a committee to oversee the fPD is useless and would have ZERO!! power or influence with FPD. That is why the 3 want to get it done before they are out.

You can keep your Rose colored glasses on and candy coat everything the way your ass is.

P.S. I'm not Frank

I have to agree with still sticking us on this one. The outgoing group want to stick it to us one last time and protect their buddies. What a crock! How is that helping the town? I also figured that once they got their contract signed the officers on duty could stop having their morning discussions in the high school parking lot and maybe ticket some people running out 1 light every morning and rolling through stop signs throughout town. Silly me for thinking that.

I wonder how the upcoming winterfest is going to go over. Hopefully Fortville's finest will let people have some fun. And how come it is having a european style market and not an American style market??

Haven't you noticed that the restaurants in town offer foreign cuisine? Are you dissin' them? They are part of the community.

Ok, Chinese restaurant, I'll give you that. Mozzi's?? What nationality's specialty is grease? Georgetowner...DQ...Subway...D iner???? Pretty much 'Merica as far as I can tell. I guess they do serve French Fries. Taste...I like the Hawaiian theme....but the last time I checked they were still a part of the USA. So...what abundance of foreign cuisine in Fortville are you talking about??

I wouldn't eat at that Subway if it were free. My daughter worked there briefly since the new ownership...lets just say they are far more concerned with cutting costs then serving fresh and even safe product. If you really need your $5 footlong, make the trip to 96th & Olio.

As long as your not super hungry when you go in you'll be fine. The cook is not breaking any speed records.

I'll give you PK, I forgot to add that to the list. Godfathers??? I usually don't consider my choices for food options places that include gas pumps out front, but that's your choice. I guess Hucks could be considered an international market/restaurant since they have pizza (so-so at that) and frozen burritos (mexican). Yea, good call on that one. You talk like there is a huge selection of international food but the bottom line is 1 chinese, several pizza (none of which are outstanding), and maybe a gyro on a menu. If you consider that options, you need to get out of town more.

Agreed. Only Fortville would come up with a "European Market". Save your grass skirt and coconut bra for next year, I do like your idea better.

Any see that TAmmy Gilbert quit the town council last night? What a win for Fortville. She is moving out of town. Maybe she will quit the office job too. This would be a way to cut costs. She makes a great paycheck. She shouldn't be office manager either. She has done things that are not for the good of the town. With Scroham and Gilbert gone it will be a great year. Oh Simmons too. They passed the contracts for the police in record time but couldn't pass a golf cart law. Which should be quick. Just take one from another town and use it. Quit paying the lawyer to redo it that cost Fortville so much money. They didn't think smart on many things.

Don't get up that much way anymore but will keep it in mind. I heard the sub shop on Pendleton Pike in Lawrence is really good too. I think it's called the Sandwich Machine.

Old guy takes his wife to the Doctor and says "something is wrong with my wife, Doc. She either has HIV or alzheimer's."
The doctor tells the old guy " Here's what you do." "Take your wife out in the country and drop her off." "If she comes home, don't screw her!"
