Why would they want to rationalize the laws? Prison is big business and they've found a treasure trove by locking men up for reacting naturally. I'm not talking about the true perverts. Common sense should tell you which ones have real problems. But thirteen- and fourteen-year-old kids know exactly what they're doing, and they know have nothing to lose, so they can behave as promiscuously as they please. There's nothing but parental control to stop them, and that is sadly lacking. It's amazing to me that these innocent little darlings can't give sexual consent, yet let one of them commit a murder and they'll be tried and sentenced as adults.

a good point by anatole...I'm not an apologist for child molesters but it is true that children grow up a lot quicker these days.........men that are led on by 13 and 14 years old girls and boys get tempted to try to have sex with. It is wrong and it is a crime but is it worth 2 to 20 years of a mans life?

It saddens me to know that there are some many of you that believe the above unintellegent comments. Men and women have NO business having sexual relations with children our babies under the age of 17. And I am glad more and more of you perverted men and woman are going to jail for this crime, worth every penny of my tax money!
