My word on all these end of the world Ragnarok predictions is that if we find out when the end is here, God will simply reschedule.

"Like a thief in the night" and all that good stuff.

1847 was suppose to be the end. Then it was changed to 1849. Later 1972 followed by 1975. The Mayan calender did'nt predict the end of the world December 2012, but the end of the world as we have known it. This prediction was bogus as all of those in the past. Lesson learned is that live your life right for it may end for you anyday. There are still enough people today living right that God will save it for the sake of the few left that are. It seems like there are fewer and fewer in this category as time rolls by.

No doubt that OBAMA was the reason (Dec. 22nd 2012) our most recent end of the world will go down as one of the worst End of Times ever! What A Bummer!

When the end of the world comes you won't know it, you'll be dead. The end of the political world did come for Count Dracula romney though.

I see the Roy Orbison reference has been deleted, but I wanted to go into the Orbison mythos a bit:

I've always had a very different vision of Orbison, ever since seeing the paintings of Roy Orbison by Guy Peellaert in his "Rock Dreams" book of around 1974.

http://xxmandarxx.tumblr.com/image/3244629763...

Guy Peellaert focused on Roy Orbison as the tragic figure, stoic, howling at the moon and far from soft.

There are some called doomsday preppers who expect a major calamity to happen at any time. Not the end of the world but they are building doomsday bunkers as we speak to protect them and their families from a catastrophic plunge in our economy which would create food riots, caos, and civil upheaval on a grand scale. Now I can't fault them because they could be right but I don't have the money to build a well stocked underground bunker but if I did I would probably do the same thing.

North Korea is still a ways from having a delivery system and so is Iran. Now the kick butt at all cost crowd is still present among us. The Japanese and Chinese are not cool with Korea either. Saudi's and Turks are not cool with Iran almost as mush as the Israelis. We still have an element in this country who think we should jump into every world conflict and CONTROL all the world's problems. With America almost 17 trillion in debt they are being held back thankfully. These doonsdayers believe America will fall economically and not from war. This is their reason to be ready and hide.

True we have enough problems right here in America to keep us busy for several lifetimes.

If these control the world people would spend their own resources on those they presume to be after us that would be cool, but they want all of us to jump in and borrow more money to fight their wars for them. You can't ignore the up and coming potential fall out when the USA gets to the point of spending more than it takes in. Families declare bankruptcy and I don't see how we can avoid this soon. Now the good side to this is that if you owe for Student loans they will be automatically wiped out. The same for Federal tax liens. Now you tell me what will happen when the US can't pay 70 million retires, both social security and disabled and military. They in turn can't pay their utility bills, mortgage payments, food bills and many other necessities. I don't want to cover my head in the sand but think about what could happen?

Yes, that old "cops of the World" canard both parties trumpet in their own fashion.

Yes I'm probably more libertarian than either of the two poor choices we have to endure every 4 years.
