The percentages are up higher than that, according to a report released last month the expectation is that at 6 years the percentage of systems that fail will be over 40%

Actually DePuy Recall, the percentage reported recently is a 49% failure rate within 6 years. This information does not bode well for DePuy's Pinnacle system. Although a recall of the Pinnacle system has not yet been implemented, the FDA has already received complaints against this metal-on-metal device. This could eventually lead to numerous lawsuits. Those who received the flawed ASR hip replacement are in danger of toxic metal poisoning because of the metal ions that flake off as a result of the device's components rubbing on each other. Recipients who find themselves severely affected by the DePuy hip recall should discuss their legal options with a competent legal representative. http://www.hiprecalllaw.com

Lawsuits will continue to rise with regards to the defective DePuy ASR hip implants. This because I came across this website http://www.depuyhipreplacementlawsuit.com which stated that 93,000 people worldwide have used the implant and medical studies said that one in every eight of those patients will have their implant failing just five years after they started using the device.

Lawsuits are probably nothing new anymore to the DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. with court documents showing that nearly 20 are filed every day in connection to the manufacturer's recalled ASR hip systems. I learned from http://www.rotlaw.com/depuy-asr/ that more and more affected patients are seeking the help of a lawyer so they would get fully compensated for all the sufferings and financial trouble they experienced as a result of the defective implants.

Lawsuits on defective devices have grown recently. Most of them are due to the inaccurate approval system known as 510(k) process. U.S. regulators are still looking on the possibility for this review system to be enhanced. In the meantime, different lawsuits like the one related to vaginal mesh are currently on the rise. http://www.vaginalmeshlawsuit.com/

DePuy get special permission from FDA to skip clinical trials and begin selling the devices right away and Depuy Orthopedic doctors believe that the companies new their device was flawed from the start, this devices was introduced by J&J in U.S.. This is why depuy hip lawsuits had grown to help file and claim compensation for the victims who were suffering from pain with these defective hip devices. Yes, lawsuits against DePuy continue to mount and this is expected to continue for the years to come considering that it was not until 2010 that the ASR hip system was recalled. Complications may arise even after 5 years. A number of cases are scheduled this year with one lawsuit about to be settled in California.
