You would be smart to stay away from this beauty supply store. Their business practices are highly questionable. The staff is very nice and will tell you anything to make a sale at your visit. But beware because the return policy when told verbally is different than what the receipt claims it to be and you will be out ALOT of money. All appropriate questions about returns were asked prior to making the purchase; however, the staff had the audacity to claim fault of the customer for "misinterpreting" what was heard. Save yourself money, time and frustration by shopping elsewhere. There is another beauty supply store opening in the same area very soon by people who have much more experience and will have a better selections.

In my experience with the store, I walked in and told them i was looking for extensions and the man helping me told me my hair was long enough. I told them i wanted them for my upcoming wedding. He then proceeded to act like I was putting him out and told me i needed to dye my hair. In the background the other woman working kept telling him he had other people waiting to be helped, like i was out of line for needing assistance. If you have a good experience with this store, more power to you, but I however did not. I was referred to them because of their low prices, but i would rather pay the extra money and be treated with respect.

I have shopped at Samantha Kay's several times. The location for SK is Beach and Basswood, there was nothing in this area for black or white hair for years. As soon as they opened and Asian beauty supply store opened a few miles away. I must say that I prefer to go to SK because they understand what I need and I can understand them. The sales people let me go behind the counter and actually touch the hair that I want to purchase. Lastly, they don't count then number of wigs that you try on. Samantha Kay is a breath of fresh air, especially for African American hair products.

I am not from this area so I googled beauty supply stores, found Samantha Kay. Two of my friends and I went together. We were very impressed by the size of the store and how neat everything was arranged. Ladies this is a very nice black owned establishment. The owner was very helpfu and friendly. A plus is there is a beauty salon inside of this store!!! I will definitely be returning!!!!

With all my years of living in that area , I've struggled with finding an ethnic hair care place . I open my eyes now & there is a Samantha Kay's & Alliance Braids And Weave . The hair i've purchased from SK Was rather good quality & lasted for a reasonable time .

Samantha Kay's is AWESOME! huge, clean and neat and a family filled atmosphere, and every type of hair products you need for your hair is right there, among hair accessories, body oils and on and on, plus excellent barber's and helpful staff. This black owned business treats customers like royalty. Love Samantha Kay's Beauty supply, there is no other beauty supply that compares, hands down!
