Yeah I know right. But you see my point, they are very passionate on basically killing them selves, but any other important issues they are like a shy 2 year old. No offense smokers. Just they way it looks.

Not all of us Scott. I'm a "sometimes" smoker and I have other issues that I am way more passionate about.I could really care less about the smoking ordinances. I don't want smokers around my kids anyway ( they don't know I smoke, neither does my husband or anyone in my family) So if banning cigs at a restaurant would mean clearer air for my little ones, then so be it. I don't smoke in pulic (other than bars) anyway. I always hide around the back of my job when I do outside of bars.

that's great, but you are a rarity, I mean look at some of the post above and then there is another post that would rather ban kids from restaurants than cigarettes simply because the government did not come up with the idea of banning kids. No come on you have to admit that is backwards.

Most definately...it is very backwards. That would be putting cigs before my kids. If any of the posters that has something neg. to say about kids have any....I feel sorry for them.

At least kids even though they maybe disruptive and annoying at times in restaurants. At least they are not dangerous to your health.

Are you all aware that the opinion that smoking is a dirty, stinky, smelly, nasty habit that poses health risks for nonsmokers is the product of a massive brainwashing antismoking campaign launched over three decades ago? Prior to that campaign, smoking did not have negative emotions, thoughts, and physical reactions connected to it today. These were all taught...programmed reactions...in the schools and in the media...by antismoking advocates using "brainwashing" techniques. As far as health risks to nonsmokers, you might find it unbelievable but only "junk science" supports the passive smoke scare. Do some research. The public wasn't educated on smoking risks. They were brainwashed and deceived with "junk science." Look at the old movies...for how people reacted around smoke and toward smokers before "brainwashing." Shame on our antismoking government agencies for lying to us, making a big deal out of nothing, to scare people and enrage people into supporting their efforts to gain a "smoke free planet." Wise up!
oh please

Ok...here is the truth...
A study was done on second hand smoke. It concluded that someone who was around an avid smoker had a slight risk of getting cancer through second hand smoke. A slight chance...around a smoker all day...Second hand smoke is a media scare tactic and everyone has bought into it.

Here is what I say to all you who complain about smokers. Go somewhere they aren't. There are plenty of non-smoking resturants you can choose to go to. You don't have to stay. No one is making you eat there. And for those who say...well the smoker can go somewhere else...well they are at a place that allows smoking so they did go somewhere else. It is very simple, go to a non-smoking resturant. If the media came out and said that drinking bottled water is bad for you and drinking VitaminWater is better...you'd all throw out your water and buy the VW. You guys are all sheep, believe what ever your told. You are lazy and don't do the research yourself and you think everyone should cater to your needs. If you don't want to dine around smokers...go somewhere smoking is not allowed. I'm a non-smoker and I know when I walk into a place if smoking is allowed...If I don't want to smell it...I go somewhere I know smoking is not allowed. Please find an arguement against this. And don't say health, do your homework. Smoking does cause cancer, in the person who is smoking, cancer from second hand smoke...you're more likely to hit the lotto...
