“How can they consider even allowing some of these people to do this at this time?”

Marsha is correct! Citizens, especially those living in the city of Ft. White, need to make their opinions heard at the Ft. White City Commission meeting at 7:30 on August 13 and expecially at the Ft. White Planning and Zoning meeting on August 27 at 7pm.(next to the library)
The planning board will be finalizing updates to the new comprehesive plan which will have language about the springs and Santa Fe Water Basin. Planning Board members say they need to hear from the citizens of Ft. White to make important decisions.
The Sawdust Springs group, who already have a permit from SRWMD, is getting ready to make a move to pull water from our aquifer, possibly truck it to Ft. White to be bottled then trucked out again on our roads. We hear a major player on the Ft. White commission is very good friends with the owner of that property.
Don't take our water, don't put more trucks on the highway and plstic bottles into the environment and leave our drought stricken river alone!

I live in the Ft. White area; don't know how Worthington Springs got on the post.
