I have read about this group, they do great things for our vets, who really gives a crap about the BBB anyway, they dont help people all they do is protect their pockets, the BBB needs to go away their a big scam thats all they are, why dont they go an shut down acorn or the naacp do some good for a change an leave people alone that are actually trying to help..

I ran across this mini story about the Sandbox Veterans. I am a Retired Army Veteran from Ft. Lewis and have asked this group for help in the past. I emailed them because we needed help with food and at the time I was unemployed, it was hard to find employment after my discharge from the Army. A volunteer called us within a hour after emailing them. It was late when I emailed around 10pm. I talked with a volunteer for over a half hour and what I was going threw and my needs. The next morning on our door step was over 200 dollars full of grocery from safeway and a gas gift card for $50. Note saying "please pay it foward" signed the Sandbox. Now I don't know what you are trying to say about this group but I know for a fact that those volunteers are there to help, I am proud that we have a group in this country that understands what help is. By the way I did pay it foward with a young marines family who needed help.

Mr. Hughes. I would like to think you for your service. My husband is a Iraq Veteran and we live in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We have had the same respect from this group this year for christmas. And also the same note of paying it foward. We are not in the spot to do so yet but as soon as we are we will. I notice that these two volunteers raise all help for people and families by collecting donations outside. I have seen them in -5 degrees doing this for people. Unreal and just awesome.

I volunteered with these guys over the summer, painting addresses on curbs. The two guys are Roger and Adam. I did this for about a month and we also did fundraising on the curb. Roger is a Marine Veteran and all types of combat stories. But I found a really odd thing about them (Sandbox Veterans). What they don't tell you about is the fact they are a Pro-Life group and only help people with children. Myself, I am a Pro-Choice person and one day while voluteering Roger and myself starting talking about it. I stated my belief and 15 minutes later he told me just to go home. I knew something was wrong because one time a person donated a couple bucks on a curb and they had a bumper sticker that read something about "pro-choice", roger walked back to there car and gave them there donation back. I thought that was wrong. But whatever. They are nice people but just a little "closed minded" in my book.

I seen a recent news article about this group. They are a Catholic faith based organization and pro life supporters should respect this fact. I have looked at their posts on Facebook and the direct states he did not register with the Better Business Bureau because the allow pro-abortion groups to be accredited. This is true.
We stand with the Sandbox Veterans Of America.

Public? Or maybe other organization trying to deter their efforts? I also read they are a pro-life organization and that's why they do not do business with the BBB. I looked this up and it seems to be a common argument threw out the country. A group called the Priests For Life had the same negative media coverage because they also refused to deal with the bbb. As any semi educated person learns, the media is well know for their pro choice beliefs. I called the BBB of northern Indiana after watching a piece about the sandbox guys. I ask the gentleman at the bbb, who was interviewed the night before on channel 15 about the group. I ask him straight out. Does the BBB give awards to Planned Parenthood? He said they give awards to good business practices. So ask if the planned parenthood received one from them? He said yes. Then I ask him if he was a pro life believer? He then hung the phone up. I can see this being more then people believe. I believe this argument of pro life vs pro choice can get really ugly. Especially now a days, I think it is awesome for people to stand for anything and do it day in and day out takes balls.

I have been approached by these same two guys on three different occasions. One of them always stood at my door, in the middle of a three lane intersection, like a deer in headlights until my light turned green. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for veterans, but their tactics don't sit well with me, whatever papers they think they have from the city. I run a small business in fort wayne and I have no issues being completely transparent about my company with anyone who has concerns. I pride myself on being honest. So its hard to believe that these guys are honest with what they are doing when they cant make an attempt to clear themselves in any way. They have been given many opportunities by the media, over the past few months, and refuse to talk. In my life so far I have been able to realize that if it sounds wrong and looks wrong, its WRONG.

Your a liar! I know these guys by name and they are nothing but dregs of humanity! Chances are they wrote this and signed a bogus name. Truth is Roger was indigted for tax evasion by the IRS and his funds seized (over 1 million dollars). He pays his volunteers in cash from the money they collect! He and his wife have stolen money from many people under such non-profits as PVA (paralyzed veterans of america), Wheelchair softball (in Illinois) and Sandbox veterans. He and his volunteers run this scam all over the country.

This guy Roger Locke has been tied to the Irish mafia group Sinn Fein (tattooed on the inside of his right forearm). Anyone interested needs to call the FBI and inform them!

This is what happens when you mess with Mr. Locke. Notice his name was never mentioned? David Cantrell (from chicago) was though. David is still one of his volunteers since his release from prison in southern Indiana.
