My grandson was nipped by is dog as it was eating. It seems the animal control did not come out and quarantine the dog as per the Georgia Rabies Control Manual. Rather a man called my daughter and said my grandson had to have shots.
Now I looked into this and based on facts I found online the local animal control is not fallowing the guide lines
Quote from page 12 of PDF
Management of Animals that Bite Humans
Dogs, Cats, and Ferrets
A healthy dog, cat, or ferret that bites a
person should be quarantined for 10 days,
no matter if the animal is currently vaccinated or not
. Administration of rabies
vaccine is not recommended during the quarantine period.
