Other than asking them "Did you see or hear violence in the home on that particular morning?" Or the day prior...(ie: why a 911 call) That would be the only question I would ask on the defense side. The prosecution will not be so friendly. Molly will cut her own throat, with her arrogance.Patrick will be timid, and afraid... A lost boy.. protecting his mother. I would give a "big yawn" if I were a juror, when they take the stand for the defense, maybe even alil siesta! I can write the script on the answers they will give. It is obvious at this point they will protect mom.

Deanna make it short and sweet, and move on to facts. The jurors will be looking at the evidence only. If you use the children as primary witnesses, you are wasting your time.

Again, this is my opinion, and if you do not like it "Tough".

Think mom will take the stand, or just let the kids do it for her?

I think Cheryl will take the stand, and cry her eyes out. If she doesnt, then it will look worse for her.

Well, thinking about it, she'd almost have to, if she's going to claim self defense.

It is her only hope. For self defense/she has a pretty good aim! U think? And to boot... she got him to pretend he was sleeping first! Self defense....I think I would stick with battered womens syndrome....But, I think it is too late...She claimed he was going to kill her, so she killed him.?.?

Ha I agree with you ky girl... all the girls in that family are a bunch of nuts. From their grandma to their mom to Molly. They are crazy and all b******. They are ALL in it together. Living on a bunch of lies! I hope they ALL go down like they should.

I don't know the Mccafferty's, but I thought Molly was supposed to be so upset that all this has happened. Its funny, because when you get on the my space page ([email protected]), there are several comments from her friends that say "I had a great time Saturday night, Molly", Last night was fun"... They must be crazy. She can't be too upset that her Mother is in jail for killing her father. If I was in her shoes, I would not want to do anything, I would be so sad. It sounds to me like they are all a bunch of phonies.

I noticed back some time ago, someone commented, "This kind of thing doesn't happen here...this is a wealthy neighborhood." (referring to the shooting) Got news for ya sister, this kind of thing happens everywhere! Another example of Ft. Thomas pretentiousness for ya! I'm sorry, but is Myspace really a forum for this? It's no wonder I forbid my children to be on it.

I was referring to the page that was built to raise the $1M to get Cheryl out of jail. I agree My Space is no place for children. My children are not allowed on it either. I just thought it was funny that after all the comments that were made about the family being so upset, it sounds to me, like they are having a blast.

Agreed, but kids post stupid things on other kids Myspace pages, not thinking that people read them. It's just an open forum for stupid, thus why my kids aren't allowed to participate. Kind of like most Topix forums, eh?

So you're saying that 8 months after losing a loved one, it is still unacceptable to have a social life? That sounds a little unreasonable, don't you think?

Um well why would they make a site to have people donate to the fund if there were dumb enough to think people woun't see it? She is fine with her mom and jail and her dad dead. They took her to lunch one day and someone mentioned killing someone and she didnt even notice. It talks all about it. Go to myspace. There are pictures too and this is what... a week after his death?!

OK, go back and re-read what I said. I clearly indicate that I think Myspace is an ignorant forum for kids. I also said that it was "other kids" posting "had a great time" messages on the site. Yes, whoever made the site expects people to read it in hopes of collecting money. What went wrong was when their teenage friends heard about it, who then turned it into your typical teenage girl Myspace page. Although I don't allow my kids to be on Myspace, I'm not naive to what goes on there. All you have to do is read the pages of kids whose parents DO allow them to use it, or are too uninvolved to pay attention to what they're doing.

My statement wasn't directed at you Spring. It was just a rambling thought about how people in the Fort think they're immune from this sort of thing. You know...this stuff only happens in bad places, to low-income people. But, I've never seen even poor people begging for money on the internet. I always thought that was reserved for politicians. I guess I was wrong.

It is ACCEPTABLE to have a social life, but unacceptable to be hateful toward the VICTIM aka her FATHER..I am referring to her comment "Rest in the peace you never gave us"! That was insulting! And yes, it made her look like a spoiled brat. She will show her true colors when she takes the stand. Molly will come across as arrogant, UNLESS Cheryls attorney gets to her first, and coaches her on how to be a lady! The defense will use this statement against her as being a spoiled brat, and acting this way because she did not get her way when it came to her overage boyfriend! I am sure her father was trying to put the reigns on her, and Cheryl sided with Molly, and that is where the differences occurred. I would leave the MODELING thing out!! She does not look like a model, nor could she make it as a model. That is probably her fathers thoughts also, but maybe Cheryl pushed the issue, and he thought it was ridiculous to spend the money.

HA I completely agree. She wrote into the newspaper saying "I appriciate everyones comments and concerns but dad got what he had coming to him and no one will ever know." What does that tell you about the arrogant brat she is?

I have a couple of comments to share.

(1) I think Cheryl will have to testify. If she doesn't, there will be no one to substantiate her self-defense claim. There are no records of abuse to use. It's only her word. If she wants to use that as her defense, she will have to testify.

(2) The kids can testify to a lot of circumstantial matters. They could testify about whether or not they thought their parents had a happy marriage. They can testify to whether or not fighting ever occurred (physical or verbal). They can testify as to whether or not they knew about the gun. Presumably, they weren't witnesses to Bob being shot, so they can't testify to that. But there is a lot that they can add, other than those details.

(3) A lot has been said about Molly's character. None of that is going to matter. Molly won't be on trial. If Molly comes across as untruthful, that would be an issue. But if the jury believes her testimony, they'll have to consider it, whether or not they like her.

Finally, I want to say that I'm eager for the trial to begin. There are so many questions that I'm sure are ready to be answered. We just have to wait for the proper time and place.

Regarding #3

The arrogance she will project WILL turn a jury againist her...I have seen it happen..We know she is not on trial, but if she takes the stand as a FATHER hater, they will see right thru her..Molly is a teenagaer with issues.

My goodness, KY GIRL. You seem to have a lot of respect for Bob, but little for a child he cared so deeply for. Imagine how he would feel if he heard what you are saying about his beautiful daughter?

I do know Molly and her true character. I just hope that seeing all of your wretched posts don't hurt her any more than she already is hurting. Amazing how you can make judgments when it's not happening to you.

This has obviously become just another tabloid story to this small town.
