Looks like you've been swindled. Page A7 of the pioneer.
Another fine example of people just assuming.
Everyone does realize that the Pioneer never runs anything negative about this school district, right? The school district had the Pioneer wrapped right around their finger. This just means we as a community are not getting the full pictureŚ giving the good, bad, and ugly.

Just a thought. A teachers job is not just to "enrich your child's vocabulary" but to prepare them for the "real world" that even you say will come sooner than later. A real college/business world that is claiming that our children are not prepared for it!! Not prepared educationally. I have yet to hear complaints that they cannot express themselves through dress. Wearing a uniform helps eliminates all the bull that this website shows is present even In Adulthood. All the stereotyping, name calling, ridicule, cliques, and emphasis on the $$ spent on brand names. It helps put more focus on enriching your child's vocabulary and individuality in ways that will prepare them for the real world and not just on how much $ parents were willing to spend on school clothes. Sure it sucks that the cute clothes we find can only be worn at home but focus on what school is really there for and SUPPORT ur teachers and administration that have chosen substandard pay and extremely unreasonable hours away from their families for your child's future and success. JUST SAYING!![QUOTE wearing a uniform for work is different than that of school uniforms.. in the "real world", which will come sooner than later for our children, there is such things as dress attire for work, but for now our children are young and should be able to enjoy their youth as children in an environment where they should not feel scared to express who they are [/QUOTE]

Does any one know where I can find slim uniform pants for children? I have looked every where. I need slims with adjustable waist, because even slims are slightly to big for the length.
Pecos County Feed Store!!! My mom in law found "slim fit" pants for my son there! Poor thing is so skinny. He looks like we don't feed him!:-( I swear we do! He was a fat baby too! Their Grandma got him 4T Slim! Fit him perfect!!! ;-)

Question: If wearing a uniform is a school policy, and we are told our kids have to abide by the "POLICY". Then why can't shorts be worn in the middle school. It is within policy?
read the policy

Are you saying that the newspaper fabricated the story!?
We definitely need to get to the bottom of this!

Where's judge dread when you need him/her?

Are you serious? What do you think gets people all in an uproar about the district? That they are informed and care enough to inquire about the schools??? Ummmm Noooo! Info that is printed in the paper. Please enlighten us with your vast knowledge and give us an example of when the Pioneer has run something that shows how they are "wrapped around the finger" of the district. If you will notice the majority of the articles about the schools are written and submitted by the teachers, not by employees of the newspaper. What should be done instead of whining is getting involved. Go and volunteer to be a mentor!!! Give it a shot. Fix it all!!

^^^^^that's why kids are like they are today! Parents with that maturity level. i hope that's not really a mother because a 5th grader could do better than that. Are you as smart as a 5th grader?

Wow, better yet at least the school is trying to teach your kids some self respect, dignity, and not to mention academics. So I hope your kids have perfect attendance for their own good sake.

to me it think uniforms is a bad way for kids to express themselves. uniforms are bad because they not only are way too much they could influence a student o others to do something bad like if there was a student that had depression problems she might want to kill herself

I think its good they have to wear uniforms, that way there isnt as much competition. Then the parents can decide what their kids can wear outside of school.Let the parents deal with it not the school!

STUPID! Go back to sleep for another 4 1/2 months. Did you really go back and look that crap up so you could say the same chit that's already been whined about so many times? fkn drama queen. WaaaWaaaaaWaaaaaaa! BTW, go buy YOURSELF a uniform so you can go back to school and learn better spelling and grammar. ive said it a million times, the parental role models of this town....SMDH. Support the schools for a change instead of slamming them. Set an example for your kids.
