Keith says he has "Proven Leadership". While he was the President of the Home Builders Association he was involved in a law suit pertaining to his home building leadership. Is proven leadership a part of majorly underbidding a job and then billing for major overages? Is proven leadership billing your customer for your own lawn care? Is proven leadership mailing 6 campaign postcard to my house? The first three said VOTE April 15th, and all were mailed from Michigan. What about our postal workers in Fort Smith and their jobs. Is proven leadership being delinquent on 2008 Personal Property taxes and not paying until 2010 (rental property not home)? Fort Smith doesn't need Keith's kind of "Proven Leadership".
That's an old game like many old games still in play in Fort Smith. A riverfront contractor close the city bidding silliness is also the lowest bidder. There should be penalties in the contract to protect the city, not bail-out clauses to reward mediocre bidding.

Whatever, Keith Lau has experience for this sort of thing....is that a good thing?..... Depends whether he will partake or forsake.

Ms. Armstrong and the powerfull (?) Park Hill crony system, the "Ft. Smith haters".

It appearsd the existing crony system thinks, if she is elected can take over Ft. Smith BOD and city hall and demand items that will ruin our property values, our jobs, and shaft everyone..
How?

hey "park hill trash" the loss of 11,000 jobs in fort smith has already ruined your property values and you can blame the present city administration for that! gosack--sanders---good--hutch- -settle have already done the damage so maybe new thinking can reverse the trend.

Ruined property values? If your property values have been "ruined" that is your mistake. You either bought property in a bad neighborhood or you were the guy on the block who paid more for his house than anyone else. I have numerous properties in Fort Smith and all have appreciated in value. I have two under contract for sale right now that are being sold for approximately 30% more than I paid for them 6 years ago.

jonesboro is growing at 22% and NW arkansas is growing faster! why isn't the sky falling in those two cities? could it be better city management and a more business friendly city administration? gosack is an empire builder that can't manage and that my opinion! he may be a nice guy but he is not what we need to lead this city to growth and prosperity! so to all of the crony network (patrick) change is coming!

Does Fort Smith really need another city director or leader that feels his job is to create policy and regulations? And to whose benefit?

I think most of the average, hardworking taxpayers would prefer to have a city director that represents the people rather than one that wants to create more policy and regulations, stifling free enterprise and competition.

Liz is the candidate that will best represent the citizens of her ward and the city.

Noone cares what you think Liberty13. You showed your true colors when you posted on Topix that you supported the outsourcing of hard working Fort Smith citizen's jobs to Mexico and other countries.

You could not care less about the hard working citizens of Fort Smith or America.

Your opinion is meaningless.

patrick, you live in fort smith and you need to stop making excuses for the really bad city leaders! fort smith should be better than joneboro because fort smith has a major highway and a major riverfront but poor leadership with crony friends like you! patrick, you ruined the humane society and can't account for the missing drugs but you have time to attack good people that want the best for fort smith? jonesboro has a 22% growth rate and jack is right to question why fort smith has lost 11,000 jobs and shows hardly any growth! could it be that you and your buddies don't have a clue what is wrong so you attack people that point out problems?

Unfortunately, for the great people of Fort Smith we are not Jonesboro. If our city was like Jonesboro, our city leaders would not obligate the taxpayers from having to subsidize between $700,000 to $1,200,000 per year on a convention center without scaling huge salary packages and expenses down, the great people would not be forced to lease and operate a privately owned Ferris wheel owner by Phil White, nor would these hardworking taxpayers be forced to rescue through their property taxes, those financially strong board members that just walked away from their debt obligations at the Second Street Live.

So, no we are not Jonesboro.

were you talking about patrick or his alter ego? patrick has at least 100 different names on this web-site. additionally, the mistreatment of animals is a serious crime especially while using drugs designated to make the animals more comfortable in their stressed environment. any person that would even consider this type of behavior has very serious problems and should not be allowed near the humane society. where is city management?

great post liberty 13! fort smith is a better city than jonesboro, has better natural resources and is an untapped source of opportunity. the problems in fort smith are caused by poor leadership and a crony stlye government put in place by gosack and his enablers that support tax and spend rather then providing jobs and opportunity for the citizens to flourish. the government wants to determine who is allowed to be successful rather than allowing the free enterpise system to work and determine success. this system is the road to failure and we are seeing just that with the loss of 12,000 jobs.

Hey Jack, Why don't you run for BOD? What is stopping you? Do you have a past, are you just all talk, or do you not have enough support? Let us all know why you choose to sit and write instead of actually doing something about the problems. I'm curious.

Jack won't run because he has made too many comments that show the voters of our great city just how much he dislikes our great city and just how much he despises the good, honest hardworking Fort Smith citizens.

Comments like how he supports the outsourcing of hard working Fort Smith citizen's jobs to Mexico and other countries that clearly show he could not care less about the hard working citizens of Fort Smith or America.

Who would vote for someone like that.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Gemini

A little give and take goes a long way, so try to be flexible and malleable when dealing with others. It will also pay to ask people what they think rather than to make sweeping assumptions on their behalf, because you could be in for a surprise. A child may have some interesting information for you, or they could make a statement that really sets you thinking.
