I think the U.S. government should put a import tax on all of Whirlpools products that come into the United States from other countries (mexico included). Whirlpool, along with other companies have moved there buisness outside of the United States for profit. So lets take back some of there profit by charging them a very high import tax that would equal what they would sale that product for in the U.S., $1000 for 1 refrigarator=$1000 import tax per refrigarator. Jobs might stay in the U.S. if we had a high import tax on companies that leave our country.

the problem is NAFTA. It opened up the borders....I want them to stay here too, but they can get such cheap labor. I can understand why they would leave--but the quality of the products are showing all this outsourcing.
They will be forced to come back once they realize they are not saving anything in the long haul--lets hope. |
