I know people who know Mason read these posts so how come the question is still not being answered after several months. Please, please, people, ASK and keep ASKING, and ask at the candidate forums.

1. WHAT is Kendalls education?
2. WHERE did she go to school?
3. WHAT 4 YEAR college degree did she get?
4. WHAT EXPERIENCE does she have other than being fired from the
office she wants to control?

I have seen the question asked, I have asked it, and it never gets an answer. I know Kendall, and her friends and family will read this, so answer the question.

Why are you afraid of answering a legitimate question? What is being hidden?

Keep asking people, keep asking.

Dear a voter: I question the seriousness of you in general as you tend to mean mouth others on the topic being discussed. The last I checked a 4 year degree isnt required of a clerk position. If she had a 4 year degree in chemistry would that be acceptable to you. I wonder how many people in the Fort have college degrees. Many successful people have a 2 year degree or a high school diploma. Perhaps you should attend the forum as I will to hear the candidates speak. And if I recall Evelyn Taylor is also a candidate why is no one inquiring of her?

As far as I know she has 2 degrees from FSCC (maybe 3). She was a supervisor at Great West Insurance for quite a while. Worked at the courthouse over 7 years. Is a licensed cosmotologist and has a certificate to teach cosmotology. She assist her husband in his catering business which is darn excellent bbq. She aunatitutes teaches. She is a mother of a Marine who just finished his 2nd deployment. Has a daughter, 2 sisters and married for 20 or so years. Her mom and gma live in the Fort. I worked with Kendell a very long time ago and went to high school with her. Go Dawn as I know you and way to represent the class of 1989. We
are proud of you!!! And I have 10 votes xomung your way from my family - GOOD LUCK to you!!

oops typing from the tablet and watching the Olympics do not agree. Now with that said I provided only a bit of what I know and in return I hope you will respect the responses. Thank you. Oh yes her husband, mom, grandma and sisters are all degreed fron college as well. I have not a clue what degrees the other candidates have as I feel this job requires respect, attention to detail, flexibility and tge ibtelligence to perform the tasks given. Good luck to all the candidates.

I never worked at Great West and really what is the intent of your negativity? Someone was trying to answer a question. I would propose you take that negative energy and focus it elsewhere. Look at what happened to downtown after the insurance companies left downtown. I hope your attitude isnt contagious. Very sad and disrespectful of those who worked hard at Great West in supervisory positions.

I think you have some of your answers now so I do kindly hope you will go back to helping the person you have decided to to vote for as you clearly are a supporter of Ms. Long. I went back and read your other post and when you say "she knows why" and how you go about your inquiry you are either a friend of Eveylyn or Joanne or an employee at the courthouse (either way) you are in attack mode with your capital WORDS and really do not seem to have interest for the good of Ms. Mason or any of the ladies running. If 'she knows why' then Joanne leaked condidential information because to this day Joanne isnt telling the commission, Shirley or Kendell but Joanne did have it planned. Perhaps you are Joanne posting under this alias. Im not sure. Also I did notice under Ms. Longs topic someone else answered your question the best they could so I am glad yoy can put your questions to rest now. Good day!!

The questions were answered on her pamphlet at the bourbon county fair. She is a great worker and did a fine job in that office and will do a wonderful job as clerk.

FSCC is a two year degree, not a four year BA or BS degree. Having two or three FSCC diplomas only shows you are indecisive and have not applied yourself to getting a four year education.
Having a four year education shows you have the discipline, intelligence, drive, skill and communication skills to achieve higher education. Similar skills are needed to be an administrator of the office she is wanting to run. Working at the court house and being fired from a job is not a qualification. It would sound better if she worked there for a couple of months then got fired, but 7 years!! Unless she is doing hair and nails, cosmetology is not a bonus for that job either. Her relatives having some education is irrelavant. Cooking BBQ also does not help her case.

SO. Let me get this straight. A person who was taught to do hair and nails, but never has had a job doing such. Who can help someone cook BBQ, but has not had a business doing such, who held a job for 7 years then was legally let go of that job, who also "aunatitutes teaches" whatever that is. Is in you words using those "qualifications" to run for an office which is of the utmost important to the taxpayers of this county? With friends like you posting, Joann does not need supporters on this site.

Also, I do not, and have never worked at the court house. I also do not know anyone who is running for that office. I have met Mason, but do not know her very well.

But I did do business with her at the office and found the response to questions......, inept at best.

Long also has to deal with officials in Topeka. Call or write her official contacts at the capitol who she has to deal with as part of her job and ask about her. I have spoken to one person in Topeka and was told Long is easy to work with and knows her stuff.

I will be glad when this election is over.

A pamphlet at a county fair does not a qualification. If she was a great worker she would not have been fired after SEVEN (7) years. After 7 years, you know your job.

I too know people in Topeka and this is NOT the answer I get about Ms. Long but I perhaps talk to different people than you. I am not sure if Long has a degree or not NOR do I care. I am not even sure you are vested in the election but perhaps here to complain sbout anyone or anything. In no way did the person writing say Kendell has a bachelors so if you are going to rant please get your story right. And last I checked hair requires diligence to running a business, attention to detail and people skills. You get more cranky with the heat going up and it must be exhaustve bring in your shoes.

Its your choice to be on here causing havock and perhaps if you are so fired up about wanting the election to be over you can hop offyour bandwagon. Maybe you should help your person you desire to vote in on their campaign. Do something positive with your life. I am a fellow colleague to Dawn. Nais are a whole different deal nor do I appreciate you acting as if my job is meaningless in your eyes. I studied hard and passed an exam and do quite well for income. Dawn was a great cosmotoligist and I do not wish to divulge her personal history but being around such harsh chemicals is not possible for everyone as some are allergic to the product. It seems you think you know the story and if you dont know you are going to make it up which is very sad as you do not know Kendell at all but yet you talk as if you do know her. I agree toss some energy to Longs campaign as your negative energy is exhaustive and I believe your questions were answered.

You said hair requires diligence to running a business. The first person posting about hair said she (might) have a "degree" in cosmetology. No one said she ever had a business where she cut hair. Having a two year certificate to cut hair, is not the same as running a business. Thanks for making my point.
As for not having the smarts, If I posted the incident here, she would know who I am, because the situation was so outrageous that she did not have basic knowledge to answer the question she was asked. If you do not have the basic skills you certainly should not be running the office, PERIOD.

I did not say it did not take skill, nor did I say people do not have to study hard to pass an exam. I also did not say she was not a good at cosmetology. If you read the comment, I said having a certificate in cosmetology is not a qualification for holding the office she is running for.

her husband is an ass who thinks he's better than anyone else. Which I guess proves what a stellar character she has since she can put up with him and his "I know everything" attitude. I do not know many people who have anything nice to say about him. I would just hope the job does not go to her head with him pushing her into that direction.

You must have the wrong Mason guy. I worked with Steve and went to school with him and I have not found him to be this at all?? He is a hard worker and the campaign is not about him anyway.

I have seen her husband but do not know him so I will not comment. The election is about her and the future of the office she is looking to be elected to, not if her husband is one thing or another so I would encourage people not to be critical of him. I personally do not think it is fair to drag him into the topix page since he is not running. However she is running and that is a big problem, even a bigger problem if elected.
