Before people start running their mouths. I will go ahead and say. Yes, I'm too lazy to go dig my own worms. I'd rather spend a few dollars than have to go dig some. But what I want to know is. Has anyone else had a problem with their worms they've gotten from Walmart? I bought a tub of 25 worms on Wednesday when I Came to town, took them home and put them in the fridge. Come Friday night when it was time to go fishing, I took the worms out of the fridge and all but 3 were dead. This is now the fourth time in a row that I've had bad experiences with the worms from there. I called to complain, but was told it must have been something I did to them. I thought about going back with my dead worms to complain in person but it's not worth burning up the gas to drive fifteen miles to do so. But really $3.25 for worms that die in the fridge in two days is unacceptable. And I do believe something should be done to make it right.

They're refrigerated when you buy them, the container says keep between 38-50 degrees.

WalMart worms suck. They've been taken in and out of refrigeration so many times, it's a wonder they are alive at all. If you want good bait worms, go to a bait shop.

$2.50 for a dozen at Annie's just North of town off of condensory (sp?)(Her's are te best that I have found) or there's a little bait shop about a mile west of Fort Scott Lake.

Cowen's has them for $2.75 a dozen out of the vending machine and I have always had luck with them, too, but you don't get to see what you are buying first.

always check your bait from walmart, nightcrawlers and red worms don't do well in any heat. the fridge should keep them well. when you bring them home make sure they are shaded from the sun. that is enough to kill them. Wax worms can take heat much better. Walmarts bait fridge never seams to keep bait very well. if you try them again and they die to soon dump them on the service desk. That should get there attention.

Damn Canadians trying to wreck our economy by exporting inferior nightcrawlers, makes my blood boil!

I think it is because you had three worms, not four, two were offended at each other cause they had a crush on the one. so they scrapped and one died. then the other worm didn't like the one who survived so they fought, you know the outcome... then come Friday morning it just couldn't stand the burden of dangling on a hook by itself without it's friends so it just gave up. then you came along and found them... very sad.... the good thing is dead worms can still catch a few perch that can be used for bigger fish.... my condolences.

Didn't even know you were there, no disrespect. I would rather see people at our local bait shop than walmart any day. What other bait you got? Perch, goldfish? If the water ever warms and weather decides what season it is, I'll be breakin out the big poles.

What type of worms were they? Red wigglers and European Nightcrawlers don't need refrigeration. Canadians do. If they were Euros or reds, you could've just kept them in the cup for a couple days as long as their moisture and food was good. Just start your own worm bin with some Euros.

My knowledge comes from owning a worm farm in Phoenix, AZ. I breed both the reds and Euros and sell them to bait shops in compostable containers, good luck on your endeavors.

I know this isn't grammar class, but you should probably try harder. When I read your post, I thought you were a kid. I definitely wouldn't purchase anything from someone that can't even talk correctly...no offense.

A better way to phrase your statement without sounding uneducated is this:

"I HAVE worms at 212 East 1st and I sell a lot of them. I DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM DYING. Give me AN OPPORTUNITY TO EARN YOUR BUSINESS."

It depends on type of worm. That's way too cold for a Euro or Red wiggler
