Heard Casey's was going to purchase the property and put a store in. Pumping Pete's heard about it & offered more for the land and they own it. Not sure what's going to go in there or if they just bought it to keep the competition out and will let it set as a vacant lot. Time will tell....

I'd hope Casey's got it. The Pete's empire needs come competition, and a break in their collusion.

Hopefully Casey's can find another location and put a store in here. It would help our gas prices!

Petes is building a new store in that spot to connect with the land they have now. The land goes behind wendys. Durossette tire will be moving out north of cowans gas station. I heard also caseys wanted to but it and petes stepped in. Guess only john horn knows the truth lol

No, it wouldn't. Gas prices aren't set by the stores. They're set by the distributors and pretty much all the gas around here comes from the same place, no matter what brand the station sells. Any town you go, the price will be the same at nearly every station. There's no such thing as competition.

Be informed .... mark up on retail gas is 10 cents a gallon. And Casey's is a much larger group than pumping Pete's.

Captain Kansas is correct to an extent...Crescent Oil is the gasoline distributor for Pump n Petes...Crescent Oil also owns the Pump n Petes stores, so there ya go. It would be called collusion if Crescent Oil set the gas prices for all the stores it supplied. However, they are more than welcome to set the gas price for all the stores they own. I, too, hope Casey's snatches up another piece of land and gives them a wake up call. Or even a Murphy Oil in the WM parking lot would create the same spark.
