Has anyone else been seeing mountain lions in this area? We have spotted the tan ones and even have one on a game camera. And tonight there was a black one seen near our home.

I've heard of them out near the airport. What part of the county do you live in?

We live out towards Uniontown. Many people over the years have spotted them. But I hadn't heard of a black one until tonight. The authorities said they are just overgrown house cats. But the one we have on camera was out in the middle of the night following deer trails. So that can't be the case.

Yeah, I'll get it scanned as soon as I can. It's a little fuzzy but there's no mistake of what it is. Wish we would have bought the high dollar camera now. We have also found paw prints behind our house near our tree stand and they were as big as a man's hand.

I know there's nothing we can do about it but people should be aware of what could be out there. We let the neighbors know about the prints because they take small kids fishing in the same area and wanted to make sure they keep their eyes open.

I live near the Fulton area and we have seen black cats out there a few times in the last 15 years we have lived there. There is no way they are just, "ovegrown house cats". I'm not sure why they just won't admit that they have migrated to this area.

About 15 years ago and the corner of 7 and 39 highway. I saw a black cat. Will swear till the day I die that it was a mountian lion. Short legs, long slinder body with a long tail.

I have seen one and it was quite a few years ago. We were kids at the time and told our parents (who didn't believe us). Anyway, now I've heard many others spotting them and even having trouble with them killing their calves. I was told that there were a few released here years ago to help control the deer population. Well, obviously they have expanded their population also! Mountain lions are much bigger than house cats and also much bigger than a bobcat. What I'm also curious about are the coyotes. I've seen several out during the day and they are huge! I've lived in the area my whole life and until now I'd never seen a coyote in broad daylight.

I've seen two. One west of hammond and the other north west of garland. Both yellow/brown in color and long curled up tail, around two and a half to three feet tall.

Mountain lions are the Bigfoot/Yeti/Loch Ness Monster of Bourbon County. There are no black mountain lions those would be panthers. Picture or it's B.S. And unless there's some sort of GPS tag or ability to verify location the BS detector is still buzzing.

My husband and i seen a black panther southwest of Redfield about 4 years ago. We was out driving the country roads in our sandrail buggie and one crossed the road in front of us. It was far to big to be a large house cat or a bobcat. We both looked at each other and said did you see that! We was in total shock! So they are around that area! Seen it myself!

My folks live out by the lake are, and they have seen a mountain lion, as well as lots of the neighbors. One of the neighbors was on the 4wheeler and came across one. They stared at each other for awhile and then the cat ran away.
