Not too long ago he told me I needed a new engine and had water in the crankcase and would cost me thousands to REPLACE, not rebuild. I knew he was full of it. I went to another shop. GUESS WHAT. If you looked at the dip-stick,(the stick, not Larry), you could see there was NO foam or water in the oil. A first year shop student in high school would know that. He either lied to my face, or does not know what basic mechanics. Either one is not good. Fact is this. I had another shop look at my car and got it fixed for about $300. The pin hole in the radiator causing the water to squirt into the fan blades was the reason for the loss of antifreeze, NOT water going into the engine. Have put several thousand miles on the car since with no problems and my sporty ride is just fine, with the old engine!

I don't know. I think part of it might be his charm. He is so charming, it is hard to see the snake under his skin. Like I said I used to do business with him, and he bilked me for almost $7000 before I wised up to him. He just always seemed like such a nice guy. I will no longer do business with him, and I discourage any people who ask me about him. Maybe someday people will wake up and realize who he is.

A few years ago i had replaced the engine in my blazer. i pulled the engine myself and had the local machine shop completely rebuild it oil pan to intake, painted it and installed it myself. it cost around 1200$ a few months went by and the crank sensor went bad (checked by an obd2 scanner) so I had my wife take it to larrys to have the sensor replaced and he told her it needed a completely new engine obviously it didnt because i had just replaced it myself prior to this. He supposedly changed the crank sensor and wife picked up the car a week later and my car acted the SAME WAY. She went to the part store bought a new sensor and changed it in the driveway and guess what...The crank sensor she took off was the same one I had put on as I changed the engine the months before it was very obvious considering it was painted the same color as the engine.....This man is a crook and makes money off of replacing engines through his insurance companies DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SHOP

Seriously, how does he stay in business? I've never done business with him but I've seen far more negative posts than positive about this guy.
