AmI missing something here. Is there a certain set of rules to follow "do whats wrong and thats right" at Fort Polk. So I love to work out. It is pretty much all I have going for me here at Fort Polk being I have applied at several jobs here and have come up with nothing. But I think that is a good thing because I have discovered that it is probably best for me as I think I just might be over educated. Never thought I would say that since most of my friends belong to MENSA. Back to the gym, if you work out on a machine and you walk off then you lose that machine. If I need that machine and you are not on it, then I will get on. I dont stay on long I am very quick not like most people who do their little reps of ten and twelve and do them slow with a 60 to 90 second break in between. I do 15 reps with 30 to 60 seconds in between so yes I am fast. I go to the gym to do my work out and thats it, it clears my mind. If you leave your towel or water on the machine yet you leave in my opinion you lose that machine. I wish people would learn some rules and manners. Circut Training is great but you dont own the gym, therefore do your reps then get off and move on. How about I leave a paper with my name on all the machines I want and when I am done then everyone else can get on, its absurd, right? You know there was one thing I said about Fort Polk, well two. One, the gym here is pretty good it has much to offer. Second, the men and women in the Army here for the most part are all in shape, which I love. At Bragg I saw so many over weight, out of shape soldiers I did not understand how they managed to stay in the Army, especially the women. Big fat women in the United States Army, but here everyone is in shape. So my only positive here has been tarnished by rude people. But thats ok, I will keep going and the rude people at the gym will just piss me off more which in turn will give me more incentive to work out harder. I look good now so I guess I will just get better. Wow, just turned that negative into a positive. Oh and for the females that always respond to my emails just so you know my husband feels the same way and has actually encountered more rude people then I. He ususally takes more crap from people then I do. However, he does not see the people as being in shape, well he said there are some really strong guys here. He agrees that the people who workout at the gym are just rude and he also stated which I too noticed is that more men actually wipe down the machine then the women. Is there a reason for this because I know sometimes I sweat. If you are at the gym and you dont sweat then don't bother going, so please females at the gym wipe down the machine, we do not want to sit in your sweat.

When I get done with a machine, I leave, to get a wipe. I leave my gear on that machine to show that I am still claiming that spot, I pick up my things, clean the machine then leave. Now if you leave the machine and do a completely different activity then yes of course you lose that machine. Especially if the gym is crowded.

Everyone is supposed to wipe down what they use once they are done.. Not doing so is disgusting.

What does overeducated have to do with anything? There are plenty of people out here who have excellent educations. Why do you always feel the need to bring that up when you post?

Yes it is very disgusting, we both agree. There are plenty of people with excellent educations, and I hung out with many before I moved, and I have a few in my life they just live else where. I am sure there are several here in this area I have just yet to meet them. Why do I bring up people educating themselves, if you have to ask then no need for an answer. Also, we agree if you leave the maching and you are not physically on it then you no longer get use of this machine, however certain individuals do not see it this way. I post comments on simple issues that deal with me and maybe a few others, but trust me there are much more important issues I enjoy discussing. I dont think the topics I normally discuss would be important to anyone here nor would they follow. We can discuss AFRICOM and their lack of inititive, or the corruption at the IMF, or how the U.S. spent years fighting the Taliban who are infact displaced people of a lost tribe and the decendants of that Pashtun people, or the genocide that still exist in Africa today and how we the United States turn our back on people in need yet if those people have any resources of interest then we go in and simi help them but since most of Africa has been raped by the Dutch and Brits we see nothing left. Heck we can discuss how spy satilites were installed in Polland under a special task force which I doubt people know of to include my husband however you can pull this up on the web and get back with me. There are a mulitude of topics I can discuss any place any time, but since I know better I keep my topic of discussion or comments on a much lower level of everyday issues. No insult intended. Sorry that my comments cause you such grief. I will try to be much more considerate in the future. Maybe I need etiquette on how to post comments.

No, I think there is a need for an answer. Only because while I may not have gone to school as long as your have or obtained a specific type of degree doesn't mean that I am not interested in any of those topics.

I'd talk about genocide in Africa. Or spy satilites, both are interesting to me personally. Even the things that I may not find that interesting I don't mind at least learning about.

I like to talk to people no matter the subject and if someone happens to enlighten me or teach me in the process then more power to them.

Have no fear discontent, you cause no such grief. It was a simple inquiry.

Because her education must be false. They should have taught her in high school the difference between 'then' and 'than.' But at least we know that people whom she doesn't know and are in shape make her happy. And fat girls make her sad.

Ha! Ignorant army folk .... The comments from all above exemplify how ' low class ' the majority of army personnel are. Education? Lol !!!! Most if not all including officers are brainwashed. What kind of mentality would waste their time with such a long post above????? Keep it simple stupid!!!!!!
