Father Daughter Dance

My daughter who is in the 1st grade brought home a flyer from school stating that there was a Father Daughter Dance at the Warrior Community Center and that the fee was $30 per Father and Daughter and the Date and Time were provided. Listed below were phone numbers for more information. I never called these numbers because I assumed that all of the important information was on the flyer. I bought my daughter a beautiful dress and accessories that she was very excited about wearing and remembered the date. She and her father were very excited about attending the function. On the day of the function I called to confirm the fathers' attire and at this time I received the terrible news that I was supposed to buy a ticket in advance and that she and her father would not be able to attend due to the tickets being sold out and a 300 people maximum on the fire code. She also stated that the information was in the post newspaper. I don't know about you but I don't pick up the newspaper every week. When these people came to our schools asking for these donations to their fund they knew that there were more than 150 girls in the school. Why would they put out such misleading and incomplete information?
I will bring this to the attention of the school principle and propose another Father and Daughter function where soldiers are only charged a donation of their choice to a fund of the school's choice and asking that the function be at the school or another place with a bigger capacity clearance.
