Wow. I hope that is a joke. Not sure if anyone at Polk has the ability to read, but the United States Government owes 62 trillion dollars. I thought Chilis and Outback were a joke. So who is having all the Bake Sales on Fort Polk to raise this money for the new mini mall? Also does Polk need a mini mall? Another example of what I have been talking about since I moved here. Our government is gravely in debt yet the military keeps spending. Electric cars, golf days, tdy's, conferences, misuse of equipment and contracts and spending like the government owns a Money Tree at the Capitol. Sick. My parents who worked all their lives are now struggling with medical bills and who pays for all this spending, people like my parents who worked hard. I keep stating something needs to be done, yet it seems to get worse. Nice to know that this type of spending continues while the 62 trillion continues to grow. Another thing, I dont think people in the state of Louisiana know how much natural gas and oil their state has. Their own state keeps it a secret. One of the poorest states yet it is sitting on a gold mine. I know my dad was a chemical engineering for Exxon of Houston for 30 years, he helped design Prudo Bay in Alaska. I know all about Louisiana and its resources funny though how the state can live in such poverty. Funny how their seem to be no real improvements for the people. Yet Fort Polk has money to build hotels in Leesville and put up Chilis and new Mini Malls. I just dont get it. I guess all my college years I missed something. I think any mom could fix the budget, why. Simple, like balancing a check book or getting out of debt. Here goes- If you dont have funds then you dont need it. If you are negative, then work harder and spend less. If you are really in debt you cut cost by cutting spending. Anyone can pull up a pie chart and break down where government spending is going
