I have a problem with non veterans that belong to the VFW in Fort Plain , NY.It appears to be a place of cheap drinks, a place to smoke and gossip about everyone else in town. These people can condemn welfare recipients, etc., but who the f--k are when they never even served our country???

The REAL VETERANS need to take a stand for what VETS really and truly mean and get rid of the MOOCHERS ...and I DO mean MOOCHERS of not only Fort Plain but all VA Clubs across America!!! Get real people!!!!!!

non veterans? I am not a veteran but have belonged to the auxillary for 30 years based on my father's service.Does VFW have a "sons" group? We have a new Commander coming on board and it would be nice to have some changes. Let's support Jim Christman and make the post a better place. The deck is a nice touch. Let's send the smoke out there.

My father was a veteran too and I believe strongly in supporting all of them. Please if you are a true supporter then clean that place up down there. I don't even go there but I have heard through rumors etc. that it needs Military supervision. Hopefully, it will be done. I have worked and belonged to the VFW in another location and it disgusts me that our vets are so mistreated.

I'm sorry...You sound like a sincere individual and if you are, you are fighting a losing battle my friend. I have encountered clubs everywhere and they all seem alike.Perhaps we should form a group that really and truly cares for the people that lay down their lives for us????

I don't understand why you think the vets are mistreated.

Maybe they just want to stay home. Maybe it is their choice not to go. Do they still have to fight for freedown with a nut like you. Why do they have to be there so you feel better about it.

I have to agree with xoxoxo. The majority of the trouble stems from members who treat the Club like their own personal playground--you have a member who is cheating on her husband with another member, you have one that parades around with his pants way too low (I personally don't want to see 8 inches of ass crack), another who dresses and dances like she's the star attraction at the strip joint and feels that she needs to be the center of attention (her voice is the one you hear over anyone else's on karaoke night), you have certain members who feel it's necessary to make out at the bar and play touchy-feely. Any outsider that comes in the place is made to feel uncomfortable because you have half a dozen members looking at them like they have three heads. My husband and I used to enjoy going to the VFW on karaoke nights, but it's gotten to the point where we are just fed up with all the drama and nonsense there. And I don't see things getting better in the near future either.

I agree with xo & T, The place is getting bad. They have a gay guy working at the bar. He makes a pass at me one more time, I am going to deck him. Who the hell is this guy & where did he come from. Saw him on one night making out with his boyfriend in there. I realy dont have a problem that hes that way, But I do have a problem with it at the VFW. Military law - Dont ask, Dont tell. This is a vets club. or so I thought.

What does it matter to you what goes on there. If you are not happy with what goes on there simply stay home do not go there. If you dont go there why should it matter to you what happens there or if the place is even open or closed. Either way it is no skin of your nuts and has no effect on your life what so ever.
