How dare anyone get rid of the Fort Myers Police Department! Then Fort Myers would just become another Cicero or another Ford Heights! Whoever even thought of this amendment ought to be deported back to, most preferrably, Ford Heights, Illinois!

The Fort Myers Police Department does not play around with crime like the Cicero Police Department does. When a crime occurs, the FMPD tracks down the suspects. The FMPD is even inching it's friendly "roots" into the Dunbar area allready

In 1995, my house (in Cicero, Illinois) was burglarized, and the Cicero Police Department accused it of being an "inside job." They pointed fingers at me and my parents, all while the suspects were free. They totally refused to dust for fingerprints. The burglars stole my mom's purse, about $300 in cash, credit cards, and my stepdad's car, and from the way the Cicero Police Department handelled it, they likely wouldn't have investigated had those burglars went and blew up Cicero's high school in the middle of a school day. And because of the lazy Cicero cops, nobody was ever caught. The Cicero Police is so lazy, in fact, that Cicero may as well not even have a police department. Especially as there are allready 21 known gangs in Cicero.

If the Fort Myers Police Department goes, Fort Myers will quickly become another Cicero, Illinois, and eventually another Ford Heights, Illinois.

In fact, when my house (in Cicero, Illinois) was burglarized in 1995, even Lieutenant Krzyzowski of the Cicero Police Department was of practically no help to me and my family!

If it were up to me, I'd say get rid of property taxes (property rents, really) and make homeownership a reality in Fort Myers and perhaps all surrounding areas. Keep people of all ages and abilities; seniors, the disabled, the unemployed, and such, in their homes where they belong!
