The buildings are owned by the condo owners. These were the last two buildings completed prior to the housing market crash. Investors paid about $280 K a piece. I am currently a Director of the association.
Are you still Director. I plan to buy in building 7 within two weeks. are there any concerns and has this building ever been exposed to chinese drywall?

No one ever seems to reply to the question of Chinese drywall. This seems to indicate that there is in fact a problem with it..?

No Chinese drywall that I am aware. Recently saw a neighbor put in a new vanity. Had to rip out some old drywall. Old drywall said MADE IN USA clearly on it. My handyman does all kinds of work at Riverwalk and never saw any there.
I have NEVER heard of any Chinese drywall at Riverwalk. Has anyone else??? My unit is 100% clean. I've been through probably 30 units and never seen any evidence.

Hello - it seems the sales are still lagging in Buildings 7 and 8 and not many up for sale. Does anyone have any updates on these buildings? I own in Building 2 for vacation home and love it. Just wondered if anyone has any updates on the last two buildings! Thank you!

I'm interested in buying; however, the condo I looked at, which was absolutely perfect with views of the preserve, showed signs of mold on the walls, as did another overlooking the lake. Does anyone know of problems with the buildings?

If they were built by US Home (and I'm sure they were) they absolutely have a water intrusion problem.

The units have been closed up without air conditioning since 2007. The bottom floor units need a little TLC.

This is the topics, mold happens but it can also be taken care of. We had a home inspection before we bought and they had found a little mold in bathroom area. It was addressed and inspected every 4 mths and everything is perfect (reports to prove it). Also we had an inspection for any moisture in all walls and NONE. Don't know about the water intrustion issue as commented above. I'm very very happy at Riverwalk and so very glad we bought here. If you are thinking of purchasing have an inspection, talk with inspectors. We're fr Chicago area so we were freaked out about mold but after talking to professionals here in FL we realized it does happen.

Bldg 7 & 8 are still excellent investment opportunities... As Lisa states, they have been closed so they will need some TLC but get some fans going, and keep the humidistat set and you should be OK...We've been there since 09 and the development continues to improve and flourish... Great Management team, reasonable HOA's and a excellent location all make Riverwalk very desirable..

There were a lot of water intrusion issues with the 40 unit buildings that were being built by US home. Mostly in the great room and guest bath. That doesn’t make them taboo, it just makes them units that you should look into cautiously. The ceiling intrusions that occurred in the great room could have been on any floor and was NOT caused by any upper level leaks. The guest bath leaks were caused by plumbing issues in the bath above.

One more thing..REMOVE the humidistat if you have one.

So you are talking in general terms? US Homes is a subsidiary of Lennar, who built Riverwalk. I've never heard of these issues in Riverwalk. But there were ALOT of other communities of similar design built by Lennar. So are you a former employee of US Homes or where do you get your info?
