I knew Steve from high school and swam with him on the swim team. Steve was always down to earth and a pleasure to be around. It was nice to see him again at the high school reunion. I am greatly saddened by this news. God bless his family and friends.

Steve's friends in Dallas are also greatly saddened by this news. My husband and I worked with Steve at Hall Financial Group in Dallas several years ago. We have kept in touch with him over the years...and really enjoyed getting to know Michelle. What a lovely couple! Our deepest sympathy to their families and friends.

Steve was a great guy, as many of you already know. We used to work together at Dish and when I left there about 6 months ago he wished me the best and told me to use him as a reference. When I moved almost a year ago he helped me move and wouldn't even let me buy him lunch. He always had a smile on his face, even when he was frustrated. I can remember in the lunch room him talking about his wedding ring and how that was his name in Hawaiian. I will miss you Steve and hope to meet up with you in the future.

Deneau Family,

I also worked with Steve at Dish Network and found him to be quite an amazing person. Me and Steve were in the same new hire training class and I remember he always had such a positive outlook on life. I remember his jokes, his Stevie D cheeseball recipe and the fact that he would stand behind any of his friends. This was a man of integrity and humility. I cannot begin to express how shocked I am at the news of his passing.

I have done steve's hair for 12 years. Steve became one of my best friends and a strong role model in my boy's lives. One of my favorite recent memories of Steve is after the election. He and Michelle came in to the salon. Steve was greeted with Obama pictures, stickers and clippings all over my mirror. If you were a friend of Steves you know what his reaction was. He taught me what it ment to be loyal, honest, giving and trusting in God's plan. I miss you and Michelle so very much. I just can't imagine you not in my life.Guess you really ment it Steve when you said no one would ever cut your hair but me!!
